GIIN repræsenterer "the largest global community of impact investors (asset owners and asset managers) and service providers engaged in impact investing". Link i kommentarfelt. Du kan se listen over #GIIN medlemmerne og det netværk, som komitéen får adgang til her: https://lnkd.in/dwnv7dib En spændende udvikling og mulighed for impact-investorer i Danmark og udlandet!🌱   #DanishImpactCommittee, Active Owners Denmark #dkimpact #AktiveEjereForImpact #GIINForum2024

Celebrating 15 years of impact investing and reflecting on the milestones that have shaped the industry. 🌎🌟 From its launch at the Clinton Global Initiative to becoming a global network with over 400 members across 60 countries, the GIIN's mission remains the same: to harness the power of capital for good. As the impact investing landscape evolves, there's renewed focus on scaling impact and driving real change. The future holds great promise for building a financial system where all investments drive positive social and environmental outcomes. #15YearsOfImapct #ImpactInvesting #GIIN #CapitalForGood

Today marks 15 years since the The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) was launched during the UN General Assembly week at the Clinton Global Initiative. I remember that day well – standing on stage with President Clinton, alongside the GIIN’s original funders: The Rockefeller Foundation Foundation, J.P. Morgan, and USAID. Together with just over 20 founding members, we launched the GIIN as a commitment to scaling impact investing globally, and this anniversary is the perfect reminder to reflect on what we’ve done so far. Now, jumping forward 15 years, we have built a thriving, global community of investors committed to harnessing capital for good. The GIIN and its broad network are a public-private partnership success story. Impact investing is scaling, gaining mainstream traction and providing powerful examples of what’s working. Impact investing empowers us to unlock capital to scale solutions across sectors and borders. 💡 Looking ahead 💡 When we set out to create the GIIN, we envisioned a world where financial markets serve all of society, playing a central role in solving global social and environmental challenges. Today, we’re closer to that vision than ever before — with the GIIN hosting over 400 members from 60 countries and trillions in impact assets under management. It is important that we continue to set our sights higher as we look to the future. As the world focused on the need to close the financing gap for the SDGs and the Paris Climate Accords, impact investing is an important part of the solution. At the GIIN, we are dedicated to ensuring that impact investing plays an important role in securing a better future for all. Thank you to our global community for making the past 15 years possible. I have so much gratitude to the amazing community that comprises our network. Here’s to what we can achieve together in the years ahead! 🌍📈 #15YearsOfImpact #ImpactInvesting #GIIN #CapitalForGood

  • How can you use blended finance and catalytic capital to address social and environmental challenges? Attendees of the GIIN's recent workshop, hosted alongside Convergence Blended Finance, gained insight into the importance of collaboration, as well as how to leverage existing expertise and standardize complex structures to help scale blended investments. Gain access to these valuable workshops and help shape a more equitable and sustainable future through membership at the GIIN: https://lnkd.in/e--GKbph

Last week our Manager, Content, Nick Zelenczuk moderated a panel discussion as part of The Global Impact Investing Network's Blended Finance Innovations and Practices Workshop: Partnerships and the Anatomy of a Billion Dollar Deal. The session, run in partnership with Convergence, discussed the SDG Loan Fund, one of the largest blended finance impact vehicles structured to deploy private sector investment to address environment and social impact and featured Aislinn Bakker, Allianz, Nic Wessemius, FMO Investment Management, and Debra Schwartz, MacArthur Foundation. Key takeaways from the workshop: - Collaboration is key for scale: Blended finance combines the unique strengths and specialized capacities of each deal partner. Promoting this interconnectivity boosts investor confidence and can be critical to tapping into the institutional investor class. - No need to reinvent the wheel: Organizations have their own “bread and butter” activities. Bringing that specific expertise to blended deals and tweaking where necessary can yield greater benefits than learning new ones on the fly. - Simplicity not simplistic: Blended finance assets are complex and sophisticated. Repetition of standardization of blended structures will make the process more “simplified” for investors and is paramount to generating scaled investment.
