    Sperry celebrated the launch of Sperry by Chris Echevarria, at a party at Kith Paris last night. Craftsmanship and carefully sourced materials take center stage in the collection, which reimagines two timeless Sperry styles originally designed by Paul Sperry – the Captain’s Oxford and the Authentic Original™ Boat Shoe. At the core of this collaboration is a shared commitment to American manufacturing, honoring Sperry's heritage and Echevarria's focus on craftsmanship and luxury. “I’m a long time Sperry fan wearing Top-Siders as a kid in school, so this collaboration hits home for me” says Echevarria. “Sperry is a staple of American style, and being able to flip these iconic styles through my lens was a dream. Every detail from the material selection to the design choices were made to give people something fresh while paying homage to Sperry’s heritage.” A pop up at Kith Manhattan opens this morning showcasing the collection and is open to the public through Sunday, January 28 featuring an experience that reflects designer Chris Echevarria’s long-time admiration for the brand. The collection is available at select Kith retail stores, as well as Kith.com, BlackstockandWeber.com and Sperry.com.

    Authentic Brands Group Announces Acquisition of Sperry and new Licensing Agreement with the ALDO Group! Through the acquisition, the ALDO Group comes on board as Sperry’s North American operating partner for wholesale, e-commerce and store operations, as well as the brand’s partner for footwear design, production and distribution globally. “I’m thrilled to further deepen our partnership with Authentic and to announce that Sperry, an iconic casual brand we’ve long admired, is joining the ALDO Group. At our core, we are retailers where the direct relationship with the consumer is key. We’re looking forward to adding 23 Sperry stores to the 430 other branded stores we operate in North America, as well as welcoming Sperry’s store employees to our team. Our powerful operational structure for stores, wholesale and e-comm has been built over five decades, and we’re excited to put our deep experience to use right away elevating Sperry,” said David Bensadoun, CEO of the ALDO Group. ___   Authentic Brands Group annonce l’acquisition de Sperry et un nouvel accord de licence avec le Groupe ALDO!
