From @fbmagazine: On October 20th, #Emmitt’s Vegas celebrated International Chef’s Day by hosting a heartwarming event in collaboration with Project 150, a local nonprofit that supports homeless and disadvantaged high school students. The event, aimed at inspiring and educating future culinary talent, provided three students from Project 150 with the chance to work side by side with Concept Chef Steve Mannino and Executive Chef Antwan Ellis. The students participated in a hands-on cooking experience, where they learned how to prepare a variety of dishes. They not only gained practical kitchen skills but also learned about the importance of teamwork, creativity, and patience in the culinary world. The event kicked off at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday inside the iconic Emmitt’s Vegas at the Fashion Show Las Vegas. As the kitchen came to life, the students dove into their culinary education, learning essential skills from the seasoned chefs. By 10:00 a.m., the students had prepared meals for the day’s diners, including their signature Pumpkin French Toast, which received rave reviews from guests. “Teaching the next generation of chefs not only fosters a passion for cooking but also gives them valuable life skills like teamwork, discipline, and creativity,” said Executive Chef Antwan Ellis. “It’s truly rewarding to see these kids gain confidence in the kitchen and take pride in what they’ve created.” Steve Mannino, Concept Chef, added, “Events like these, show how food can bring people together.
