Our Kaufman Leadership Meeting concluded on Friday with an impactful message from keynote speaker, Dan Cnossen, U.S. Navy Seal Lt. Commander and 7-Time Paralympic Medalist. After Dan spoke to our global leaders, he joined #TeamKaufman as we partnered with Operation Gratitude—a nonprofit organization devoted to providing opportunities for Americans to express gratitude and appreciation to Military and first responders. Together we packaged 600 care kits with handwritten letters as a warm reminder of home. #KLM2024 #ChampionsandCharities

Yesterday at the Kaufman Leadership Meeting, our global leaders built off the excitement from the day prior as they participated in numerous roundtables, breakout discussions, and networking opportunities. We also enjoyed hearing from keynote speaker, LaQuita Cleare. The evening concluded with our annual awards ceremony where we celebrated the successes of #TeamKaufman at the Book Tower Detroit. We are proud to announce that Danny Kaufman and Jodie Kaufman Davis are now each Co-President of H.W. Kaufman Group. The newly created positions will establish distinct leadership responsibilities across Kaufman’s broad global portfolio. Alan Jay Kaufman will continue serving as Kaufman’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Today we are firmly and emphatically signaling to the marketplace, along with our clients, insurance company partners and 2,000+ associates, that Kaufman is committed to our independence under Danny and Jodie’s ongoing operational leadership. I am very proud of Danny and Jodie – the evolution of our company is a direct result of their strategic vision, their passion for this business and their shared desire to see Kaufman thrive under the next generation and beyond.” – Alan Jay Kaufman In addition to his existing role as President of Burns & Wilcox in the U.S., Danny Kaufman has responsibility for the Burns & Wilcox brokerage and Canadian divisions. The existing leadership for both divisions now report into him. Jodie Kaufman Davis will become Vice Chair, Atain Insurance Companies, while retaining oversight of RB Jones. This week #TeamKaufman leaders gather in Detroit for our annual Kaufman Leadership Meeting! As we prepare for their arrival, let’s take a moment to reflect on last year's KLM. #KLM2024

Last week, #TeamBurnsandWilcox and #TeamKaufman associates attended Insurance Night at Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business. The event provides MSU students an opportunity to learn about career possibilities within insurance and risk management. Our own Bill Gatewood was one of four panelists that spoke to students.   During the event, the Risk Management Program also honored our Chairman and CEO, Alan Jay Kaufman, for his support and dedication to continued education and the future of insurance.
