About us
The city of Gahanna represents one of the most successful communities in Ohio. With over 34,000 residents, Gahanna is one of the fastest growing suburbs of the Metropolitan Columbus area. Only eight miles from downtown Columbus and minutes away from the Columbus International Airport, Gahanna is a choice location for businesses, residents, and visitors. With a strong emphasis on community, family, and fun, Gahanna offers a wide variety of seasonal and special events. Recognized as one of the top 100 places to live in the nation and one of the top 20 places to retire in the United States, Gahanna holds all the amenities of a big-city atmosphere with a small-town feel. With 32 parks, holding over 750 acres of land, Gahanna holds a higher per capita park space than most of Central Ohio. Included within the parks space are 3 athletic complexes, 2 municipal swimming pools, and a USGA regulated 9-hole golf course. With an exceptionally low crime rate and a personable, friendly police force, it is easy to see why companies and families feel comfortable settling in here. This oasis in the midst of suburbanization is a city combining the “old town” feel with a restored presence, making any visitor feel welcome.
