  • The growth continues for one of Hilliard's largest employers, @Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians! 🏗️🔧 🔹@Equity Commercial Real Estate Solutions hosted a groundbreaking event Thursday for its new $29 million, 158,000-square-foot flex industrial building set to be built on 19-plus acres of land east of Britton Parkway near I-270. 🚛 Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians will be the building's anchor tenant, and the expansion will create 60 new positions for the company. The Britton Flex facility also has an additional 100,000 square feet of space still available for other businesses. ➡️ The groundbreaking event included remarks from Equity Founder and CEO Steve Wathen, Eco Plumbers Founder and CEO Aaron Gaynor, and Hilliard City Manager Michelle Crandall. The City is excited to partner with these local companies to foster technology-based employment and job retention in our community for years to come! 👏

  • More accolades for our incredible team! 🏆 City of Hilliard Division of Police Detective Brandon Long has been awarded the Community Service Award by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. This award honors an Ohio law enforcement officer whose involvement in civic organizations helps to build bonds between police and the community. 🤝 "Coach Brandon" is a community advocate and coach for the Hilliard Bobcats Special Olympics, and currently serves as the State Director of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ohio.   • Welcome our newest member of the Community Relations Department, Emily Ewing! In her new role as Community Relations Specialist, Ewing will act as communications liaison with the Recreation and Parks and Operations departments. As part of her duties with Recreation and Parks, Ewing will contribute towards the development and opening of The Well, the City's new recreation and wellness center, set to open in 2025. I can't wait to engage with this vibrant community alongside such a capable team," Ewing said. "I am so excited to officially call central Ohio my new home." Originally from Maryland, Ewing recently graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in English and creative writing. In her free time, she enjoys reading, drawing, and exploring nature. Justin Cramer, an Ohio Air National Guard veteran, has been recognized for his public service as the Hilliard Memorial VFW Post 4931 Officer of the Year. 📸: From left, Post Commander Eric Tarbox, Cramer, Chief of Police Mike Woods, Post member Paul Ritzenthaler. About Sgt. Cramer: 🔷 He joined HPD in 2011. He currently supervises our Special Investigations Unit (SIU). 🔷 Under his leadership, the unit has investigated cases of violent crime, human trafficking, and drug trafficking, seizing nearly 200 firearms, significant quantities of dangerous drugs, and nearly $1 million in illegal proceeds. 🔷As a member of the National Guard, he was assigned to the 180th Fighter Wing and served as an F-16 mechanic. He was deployed to Iraq in 2006 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. 🔷Last year he volunteered as a guardian for the Findlay-based Flag City Honor Flight.   • Join us in welcoming Nicole LeMaster as the City of Hilliard Division of Police's first Intelligence Support Analyst. 🌐🔐💻 She joins the City with seven years of experience in the U.S. Navy as an intelligence specialist. LeMaster has a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and is pursuing a master's degree in Intelligence Studies from the American Military University. Chief of Police Michael Woods called the position a "force multiplier." In her position, LeMaster will be working closely with officers to ensure efficient and thorough investigations. The analyst will identify crime patterns in our community to provide directions to patrol officers, assist detectives with data mining, and generate crime reports that can be provided to the community, among other tasks.
