The USDA recently announced that Agtegra Cooperative has been awarded a $3 million grant through the Fertilizer Production Expansion Program! Through this matching grant, we will be expanding Prescription Agronomics, our starter fertilizer manufacturing facility in Ipswich, SD, in addition to adding one 500,000-gallon liquid fertilizer storage tank at each of our Kimball and McLaughlin agronomy locations. “Prescription Agronomics is an integral part of Agtegra Cooperative’s fertilizer business and the Ipswich community,” said Agtegra CEO Jason Klootwyk. “We look forward to starting construction on our Prescription Agronomics expansion project in 2025. We were honored to receive the 2024 Bridge Builder award at the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce ABBY Awards last month! Agtegra Cooperative welcomed U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson to our agronomy, grain and propane facilities near Bath this week. Chief Executive Officer Jason Klootwyk gave Congressman Johnson a tour and discussed the importance of getting a Farm Bill done this year, the need to extend the Section 199A(g) tax deduction before it expires in 2025, the importance of agricultural trade, and other key issues affecting Agtegra Cooperative and our member-owners.
