EU Cyber Direct – EU Cyber Diplomacy Initiative supports the European Union’s cyber diplomacy and international digital engagements in order to strengthen the rules-based order in cyberspace and build cyber resilient societies.
The Initiative aims to identify opportunities for increasing convergence between the EU and other stakeholders regarding the implementation of the framework for responsible state behaviour in cyberspace.
This is achieved through:
- Policy engagement
- Capacity building
- Research and analysis
- Outreach and public engagement
Through its activities, EU Cyber Direct aims to share knowledge about the EU’s standards, policies and good practices as well as increase the participation of different stakeholder groups in regional and global debates on responsible behaviour and resilience in cyberspace.
The EU Cyber Direct is implemented by the EU Institute for Security Studies, in partnership with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Leiden University. The project is funded by the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) at the European Commission.
