Have you ever wondered why your doctor insists on the age-old advice to “drink plenty of fluids” when you’re feeling under the weather?

When you’re sick, your body undergoes changes that disrupt your regular eating and drinking habits. This is where the significance of proper hydration comes into play. Your body needs sufficient fluids to continue its battle against the invading illness. Moreover, factors like blowing your nose, vomiting, sweating, fevers, and diarrhea contribute to fluid loss, making it imperative to replenish what your body is expelling.
