SIP FAQ

  • The short answer is no. While you are able to indicate geographic constraints if admitted, you are not guaranteed to receive a placement in that region. Our team at GWI works to find campus and internship placements that will be a great fit for each of our scholars.

  • GWI typically sends out campus and internship placements in March/April prior to the start of the program.

  • GWI’s Summer Intensive Program is a tuition-free program subsidized by our partner organizations. There is no fee to attend our academic program. Additionally, we provide free housing and meals during our on-campus program. Scholars are responsible for covering travel costs to and from assigned campuses and internship cities. Scholars are generally expected to secure and pay for housing throughout their 7-week internships. However, financial assistance is available to help reduce or fully cover additional costs including those related to travel and internship housing. The process of applying for these funds will begin after you have formally been accepted into the program. Please note that all of our internships are paid positions, with rates of compensation determined by participating partner firms.

“I am about to tell all of my friends who are remotely interested in finance to apply for GWI next summer. It truly is a ‘golden ticket’ and an opportunity I believe must be paid forward. I cannot wait to see how this industry changes in the years to come.”
