Fantasy Men's Basketball
News: 4 days agoGilgeous-Alexander scored 15 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding two rebounds, six assists and a block across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 122-113 preseason loss to the Rockets.
Spin: Gilgeous-Alexander was one of the best players in the 2023-24 NBA season, and that doesn't figure to change in 2024-25 as long as he remains healthy. Preseason stats are almost meaningless for star players, but if this game serves as any indication, then the star floor general is ready for the regular-season opener against the Nuggets on Oct. 24.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Gilgeous-Alexander is coming off a season so special that he received votes for NBA Most Improved Player despite having finished in the top-5 in the MVP vote the season before! SGA has settled into his role as score-first playmaking creator for the Thunder, notching consecutive seasons averaging 30+ points and coming off career-bests of 6.2 APG, 2.0 STP and 53.5 FG%. He led the NBA in total steals last season while also notching just over a 3-pointer and just under a block per game, making him just as elite in category leagues as in points leagues. SGA projects to be the first guard drafted in fantasy hoops leagues, and has a chance of joining the top big men in surpassing the 60 FP/game threshold.
