Really cool UM study on how many minutes each food adds or subtracts from your
life. Some very interesting results, some surprising, many not. For example:
The best "meal" you can eat, increasing your life by about 30 minutes: A peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
As far as individual foods: nuts and seeds are the best increasing your life between 12-30 minutes per serving; Seafood: most of it, between 2 and 10 minutes of life (some of it actually negative, some as much 50 minutes); fruits 5-15 minutes; grains/cereals 3-7 minutes.
The worst things: hot dogs/sausage sandwiches -32 to -42 minutes of life; cured meats -22 to -30 though sandwiches in general have a huge range, mostly between -2 and -10); burgers -10 to -18;
Anyway, each a bunch of nuts and pb&js instead of burgers, hot dog, and sandwiches with cured meats and this says you'll live a really long time.
