Our stay at the Temple Hotel was so much more than we hoped for. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The experiences on offer gave us an insight into Buddhism, temple life, traditional food, and culture. Everything was of the highest quality and thoughtfully provided. It was easy to catch the train there, and Ayabe is a delightful place after the busyness of Kyoto. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully, we can visit again one day.

My parents and I were all very surprised at how big the hotel room is, as most of the hotels in Japan are very small, especially the hotel is at Kyoto center area. It is very spacious and allow us to lay out suitcases flat and widely opened on the ground. It is quite short distance of walk to JR station and Subway/Metro. There is a 7-11 convenient store connect to hotel, and a small shopping mall within 5 min walk from hotel (there is Donki and restaurants there).

We were extremely satisfied of staying in this Hotel. The position is amazing just few hundred meters from Kyoto station and Tower, and the hotel is exactly in front of a beatiful temple. We took the rooms with temple view and it was fantastic to wake up in the morning with such view. The staff was very kind and attentive to any request. Also the place has a private onsen with hot water to relax after walking all day in Kyoto. I definitely reccomend this place

Owner was very accommodative, check-in instructions were clear and when we requested for more towels they delivered immediately. Location is a good 10 min walk to Kyoto Station, and it's located in a quiter area of the town. Be wary that the sizes of the accommodations in Japan are very small. This place is suitable for 2 people with maybe 2 medium sized bags. Any more than that and there wouldn't be enough space. Not suitable for children either.

Very good location wise for metro, bus etc. short walk to nishiki market (900m about 13 min) and „central Kyoto“. Many conbinis and normal supermarkets very near! Free coffee, matcha and tee provided from 6 am to 9 pm (matcha is very very good). Hotel rooms are very spacious and very good divided - even with a lot of luggage you still have enough room :). You also have a bigger window with fly screen which could be opened to let fresh air in.

A really very nice hotel with a very big and modern facilities such as the lobby and the room . Staff is really very attentive and gentle , breakfast is excellent and the location is very good for Kyoto. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel in all of the aspects I suggest the Hotel to every person that wants to visit the city. the best of the hotel are the rooms, nice, clean, with good beds and very spacious.

Hotel Anteroom Kyoto location is away from the busy spots in Kyoto but yet near to the city area. Hence, it provides calmness, befitting Kyoto's myriad temples and shrines vibes. Also, it embraces art work - endearing, indeed ! The staff are very polite and friendly. They very kindly accommodated to my vegetarian diet for breakfast. Can only describe my stay as : Immaculate and Wonderful ! :)

We booked a Japanese room. It was so comfortable and spacious for my wife and I. Kyoto is such an easy place to get everywhere by bus. This hotel is on a fairly main road and we had no trouble using our Suica cards. Every trip we took cost 220 yen (so cheap!). The hotel staff are so helpful and gave great advice about what is available nearby. We will stay here again next time we are in Kyoto.

The hotel is very new and the facilities are top-notch: the public bath was the best I have experienced in Japan, with a large hot water pool with soothing music, and the laundry facilities really help with travelers on the road. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I visit Kyoto again. As a matter of fact, I will look for Mitsui Garder Hotels in other cities in Japan first when I revisit.

While looking for a hotel in Kyoto, we wanted a place within walking distance of the city center and of high quality. Fauchon Hotel, which we had already enjoyed in Paris, was an excellent choice. They beautifully combined French style with the traditional spirit of Kyoto, creating a truly delightful experience. The team was incredible. We left feeling very very happy.

We love Hotel Resol! This was our second time staying there and if we end up in Kyoto ever again I would stay again. The hotel is super clean and the staff is super friendly, and as a bonus there is often someone at the front desk who speaks English. The rooms are super comfy and clean. You are also in a great location super close to almost everything.

First of all, it’s about the price and quality, as well as the excellent staff. We discussed and clarified everything in advance. Additionally, the old-style design really made us feel like we were in Kyoto. It was a bit chilly, but knowing that it’s common during winter in Japan, it was fine. I recommend it, and there are also some nice cafes nearby.

The room is a good size. You don't feel cramped like other hotels we stayed at in Japan. Having a washing/dryer in the room was very helpful since we were doing carry-on only and had to wash stuff every few days. There are a lot of supermarkets nearby and a metro just around the corner. Only about 10 minutes by metro from Kyoto station.

Hotel room was noticeably larger than most other Japan hotels. Main lobby had an incredible view of the mountains and Kyoto, and facilities were clean and modern. I enjoyed the access to the guest lounge, which often had drinks and snacks. Location is quite central to key shopping street, as well as smaller street with nightlife and bars.

Excellent place - the biggest rooms we’ve had during our trip to Japan - even had a balcony. New facilities, everything very well organized. Common space for eating inside of the hotel if needed, washing machines, oven, microwave etc. Perfect location - in the very center, walking distance from Kyoto station, yet very quiet area.

Excellent hotel. Location was brilliant, so close to the Kyoto Station, so public transport was on our doorstep. The room was compact but more spacious than other compact rooms. Well furnished with lots of extra, thoughtful amenities. The spa was gorgeous. I used it every night. It has been my favourite hotel in Japan out of 7.

The ladies working there are extremely fluent in English and are also super friendly and helpful. The whole place had a cosy atmosphere and room was spacious and clean 🤩. Hands down the most pleasant place I’ve stayed in throughout my times travelling to Japan. Definitely will book this place agn if I ever visit Kyoto again!

The service was impeccable. From them bringing afternoon tea, to them loaning you an umbrella, to them guiding you to your room and teaching you on the customs of staying at a ryokan. This has been my favorite place to stay in all of Japan, and if I'm ever in Kyoto again, this is the first place I'm booking.

The hotel room was lovely, quite big compared to other hotels we stayed in during our time in Japan, and very clean and nicely done up. The breakfast was good and offered a very good selection. The location was quite good, with a station just down the road and within walking distance of Kyoto station.

First of all thank you Miki and all staffs of Hotel Muso for your hospitality! We love Kyoto for its peacefulness in general, however this cute cozy hotel is very reasonably priced and polite, kind staff and a very clean and decent room size and 10 mins from centre. Would stay here again anytime!
