Seoul very expensive place but i think some it a over rated. Myeodong street food for me too expensive and taste not that good, not that fresh and hygiene for me not so good as well. Naver and kakao is a bit challenging to use as less english word available to help u but should be ok in time. everything are expensive in seoul. pls prepare more money if you plan to shop there and have a lot of fun. for muslim definitely u wont get halal certified as this is not muslim country but you have to really take note what you buy to eat...dont really follow the youtuber but follow what you see and logic thinking. be aware what they sell. anyhow this is as per your judgement

We thought Seoul was a great city with lots to do and see.
We thought Seoul was a great city with lots to do and see. The metro train system was easy to navigate. Lots of restaurants to choose from (especially Korean BBQ) The street food at Myendong markets was very impressive, although not too cheap. There is a lot more that we could have done but ran out of time....and hopefully will be able to next time!

I wouldn't have thought of Seoul as a tourist destination before I visited (I came on business and stayed on for a holiday), but it is great! Lots of museums, palaces and tourist experiences. The metro is easy to use and people are friendly. There are parks and green spaces too. Can recommend doing the hanbok experience at Gyeongbokgung Palace, shopping for one-off gifts in Insadong, the night market for tasty food in Myeongdong, and taking the boat tour on the Han River. Beautiful city. Plenty to do. This is a holiday you can trust your teenagers to plan the itinerary. Shopping in Myeongdong and Hongdae was the best ever experience. The only problem was deciding what not to buy. Skin products and cosmetics in South Korea - must not be missed. Food - fantastic. Find places locals go to, these restaurants can be small and hidden. Makgeolli was fab. Soju and Korean beer - the brands you can find in Korea are far better than what you get outside Korea. Street food is superb; easy to spend far more than a substantial dinner in restaurant. Food delivery is also super convenient. We had fried chicken one evening and traditional pork leg another. Wonder why everything tastes better here. Gyeongbukgong - 100% recommended. Wanna see oppas wearing female hanbok under the melting hot sun? Go. Namsan Park and observatory tower - you can get there by cable car or bus. Will consider walking if we didn't have temperature over 30 degrees Celsius. Insadong, Stanfield library, Dongdaemum design plaza - fab. Gangnam - Gangnam style is a thing. There are 101 reasons why this is much loved around the globe. DMZ tour with Red Suspension Bridge - highly recommended. Korea has much more to offer. We will be back.

I had fairly low expectations of Seoul based on previous business trips and a recent reputation for having become expensive and a bit soulless (...). But there are many different parts and neigbourhoods to visit and like many capitals around the world you'll find very different atmospheres and vibes. And visiting the Imperial Palace in traditional (hired) dress is a must and a blast (free entry if in Korean attire).

We we're lost when we arrived in South Korea but the owner didn't stop helping us to give direction and guidance going to the place. Good thing they have a 24-hr check in! So yeah arrived late and luckily the room was comfortable for us 🥰 Surely recommend here and it's affordable! Also it is 15 mins walk to Hongdae. And going to airport from sinchon subway station takes almost 1 hr travel time.
