Located in Bowness-on-Windermere in the Cumbria region, The White House is a 5-star property featuring free WiFi. I did not take breakfast - the room exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the small double room so we could have a terrace - was nice to sit on terrace in the evening/morning. Location was fantastic. Minutes to walk to the lake where you can take boat rides etc. Also many restaurants and pubs close by. Definitely recommend this place!! The staff was extremely nice - I was able to drop off my luggage early and leave it after check-out for 3 hours. Perfect for us!

Located in Buttermere, 1.6 km from Buttermere, Buttermere Court Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Situation, one of only two hotels in this very beautiful part of the Lake District. Very big comfortable room. Food served throughout the day so mealtimes very flexible. Snacks provided to hotel residents going on walks or hikes. Lots of great walks right on the doorstep.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. A beautiful guest house run by a lovely couple who were very professional. The rooms were very big with great views (ground floor deluxe and loft), immaculately clean with traditional decor and attention to detail. Breakfast was amazing! The location was great for trips to Windermere (15 minutes) and other sights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return in the near future. Highly recommended!!

Very convenient location - next to the stunning Hope Park, town centre of Keswick and also to the Derwentwater Lake, allowing easy access to do a walk around the lake.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Excellent!! Stars plus for breakfast 😊

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. The Staff are so Friendly. The room was a good size at the front. Loved the pool area and outside Jacuzzi which I only just learned was hot!!! Food Amazing. Love Manuel! He rec my haddock brekkie and was perfect. Comfy lounge bar.Booked again for December!!!
