  • What is the Rising Professionals Network (RPN)?

The Rising Professionals Program is a unique program with Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach and is a group of socially conscious and dedicated emerging leaders that are committed to support youth ages six to eighteen in the Long Beach community to reach their full potential as future leaders of our generation.

The main goal of the network is to provide a space for local professionals to meet and grow their network. We would also connect them with our current board to build on that network.

  • How does RPN accomplish their project/program?

Once a project/program is decided, the group (with the support of our staff) will decide how they want to fundraise for it. It could be that they invite their friends and colleagues to a network event and ask for donations, or it could also be that each member of the group requests the funds from their organization - there are many options and we want to give the group the autonomy to decide.

  • What is the time commitment for RPN?

Members will meet only a few times throughout the year and participate in one to two exclusive networking/fundraising events. These events provide opportunities to promote socializing with other members and their friends. Events can include happy hours, wellness activities, or anything that council members desire to do.
