A lovely principled man who made the world a better place. I did his accounts for over 22 years and it was always a pleasure. I always enjoyed our chats about our families.

Dick was a founder member of the Finemere Wood volunteer work party. Wise, witty, and committed to the cause, his support was unwavering. Come rain or shine, he would join the group in the woods until his health no longer allowed. A wonderful man in so many ways. He will be missed greatly.

In memory of Mrs Joyce Timbs

08/04/24: £50 + Gift Aid

Joyce loved nature and the countryside and was very knowledgeable about wild flowers. She was born and grew up in the village of Yarnton so knew the Lot Meadows well.

She would often visit Oxey Mead and would be pleased to know that it is now cared for by BBOWT.

A portrait in loving memory of Nick Yarrow

In memory of Nick Yarrow

10/02/24: £202 + Gift Aid

Nick had a genuine lifetime interest in the natural world and everything in it. His father was an entomologist and his mother was a botanist so he grew up respecting and appreciating all flora, fauna, birds and insects. He could easily identify and name - often in Latin - many species. He loved walking in Berks, Bucks and Oxfordshire.

Nick passed away in April 2023, and I know how touched he would be to know how many kind people have donated to the Wildlife Trust in his memory.

Thank you to everyone who donated in Nick’s memory.
