Week 1
Have some fun this Easter holidays!
This week, you can:
- Get creative with some spring crafts
- Design your own Easter eggs
- Explore what spring has to offer out in nature
What is Easter?
Easter is an important festival in the Christian calendar. It celebrates Jesus rising from the dead, three days after he died on the cross.
When is Easter?
The date of Easter Sunday is different every year.
In 2025 Easter Sunday is on the 20th of April.
How is Easter celebrated?
On Easter Sunday, Christians may attend a special church service. However, you do not have to be Christian to celebrate Easter. Non-religious people or people from other faiths may choose to celebrate Easter in some way too.
Create
Easter eggs
For Christians, eggs represent new life. Easter eggs are used as a symbol for the resurrection of Jesus. Lots of people enjoy eating chocolate eggs and taking part in Easter egg hunts at this time of year.
