For fashion shades these are great. For actually blocking the sun, well they’re better than nothing. I definitely squinted less than had I used nothing, but still was surprised at how sheer they are in terms of barely blocking the sun. They’re comfortable, but to be fully functional you’ll need a hat or visor to block the sun for real.
