I cannot praise this mattress enough, it has been a total lifesaver for my girlfriend and I. Not one did we manage to snag a memory foam, king-sized mattress for $350, but somehow this thing is even more comfortable than a $2200 Sealy memory foam mattress!

*Packaging:

Packaging was smart and easy, it came in a box that was about 4.5 feet tall and about 2 feet wide. Inside the box the mattress was wrapped in a poly-paper sack with a drawstring and within that packaging (which was design to protect the vacuum-sealed plastic around the mattress) is the plastic cover that holds the compress, vacuum-sealed mattress. We were stunned they were able to fit such a large mattress into such a tiny form factor.

*Setup/Decompression:

Once we got it onto the bed frame (I suggest keeping the mattress in the plastic cover and unfolding onto the bed frame) we cut the corner at the plastic cover of the end of the bed and watched it inflate rapidly. Within an hour the bed was almost 100% inflated, but he end of the night it was ready to sleep on and had reached 12 inches (around 6-8 hours time). Don't be afraid or turned off by what folks say about memory foam/boxed mattresses, this one doesn't take long at all to decompress and you could honestly sleep on it after an hour of inflation! Fantastic!

*Comfort:

Good Lord this thing is comfy! It's firm yet plush, hard to describe as it molds to your body rapidly (and resets form just as rapidly once you're off it) and makes you feel like you're sleeping on a cloud/weightless. This bed is great for all sleepers really, having slept on my side, back and belly, I haven't woken up with a stiff/sore anything thus far. Sleep comes on quicker, I sleep deeper and longer, and usually wake up in the same position I feel asleep in (same goes for the GF and doggie as well!). The mattress had no noxious odor, maybe a little plastic the first day, but within 24 hours it dissipated and smelled fresh. One common criticism of memory foam mattresses is temperature regulation, aka "sleeping hot", but no worries, this mattress is cool and I run hot all the time, even for me it was never too warm nor was it too cool, this is my "Goldilocks" mattress! The bed transfers no motion (did the wine glass test, albeit nervously, but alas, it passed!) so you won't disturb your partner when shifting or getting up from/into the bed, so much so that our watchdog of a pup didn't even wake up when I left the bed, which is a first and feat in of itself! If you like soft/more plush mattresses, I wouldn't qualify this as a super soft/plush (think thick pillow-top mattresses) mattress, I'd say it's a good blend of plushness with a medium-firm base that gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to pressure relief and spinal alignment. If you've woken up with a sore lower back, shoulder pain, neck pain, or have a difficult time sleeping through the night/tossing and turning a lot then this mattress will solve your problem, truly amazing comfort for the price paid!

*Materials/Construction/Quality:

The mattress feels as solid as any other higher priced memory foam mattress, like I said earlier, this feels comfort and construction-wise like the $2200 Sealy memory foam mattress we already had. The Jacquard cover is a nice material, very soft, and feels well made. It is easy to remove in the event you need to wash it, although I suggest purchasing a memory foam-specific mattress cover that is water resistant/waterproof to protect against spills, bodily fluids, pets, etc. The Green Tea® Extract in the foam layers is interesting, touted benefits is that it's anti-fungal and anti-microbial while being an odor fighter to boot. Time will tell if this is a marketing gimmick or truly beneficial, but I appreciate the thoughtfulness and eco-friendly solution that should enhance the longevity, health, and comfort of this mattress over time. The foam layers become indistinguishable once the mattress is fully decompressed providing a feeling of solidity and high quality. It weighs around 93 lbs when compressed/in the box, once decompressed fully it weighs considerably more, I'm not sure how much, but it has some serious heft and will be difficult to move, however; the mattress does fold/roll nicely so when move out time comes it shouldn't be too much of a burden.

*Value:

Considering I've owned expensive memory foam mattresses before, my statement still stands that this mattress competes 1:1 with a $2200 Sealy memory foam mattress. For $350 for a king-sized memory foam mattress, thats an incredible value, considering I'm a Prime customer too, the 2 day shipping was amazing and a lot better than waiting on a mattress company to deliver it or cart it home via roof rack. All in all, the value is immense as the price to comfort and quality ratio is mind blowing. We'll see how long this mattress holds up, but even if it lasts 3-5 years, the price is still easy on the wallet when considering alternatives. Are you going to get a Purple-level mattress at this price point? No, but you shouldn't expect that either, that's not to say it's not comfy, it is incredibly comfortable, but don't expect it to get space-age, cutting-edge sleep technology at $350, but it does edge out big name-brand memory foam mattresses at 1/6th the cost.

*Overall:

This mattress is a great buy and I would recommend it to all my friends and family if they are in the market for a new mattress. I have not seen anything like this on the market in terms of price to comfort and quality while being competitive with mattresses 6-8 times more expensive. If your looking for a memory foam mattress and don't want to break the bank but don't want your sleep and back to suffer, look no further, the Zinus Memory Foam Green Tea Mattress is your best bet and buy. Get it!
