I'm not sure how to rate this product. I've been cooking with, and loving Le Creuset for more than three decades. A few years ago, I amped up my cast irons, and added a couple of Staub. I loved that Staub had a different inside glaze, and browned gorgeously (way better than Le Creuset). This recently purchased Staub pan was placed on an electric burner that was accidentally turned on high . . . which I discovered within two minutes - only to find that the outside glaze on the bottom of the pan had melted and bonded on to the burner. After the burner cooled, I was able to dislodge the pan, but the glaze melted, and burner ring marks were left where the pan had made contact. I really want to love Staub, and, had planned to start collecting the intense blue color ( ---which is gorgeous---), but, I'm going to have to rethink this. I know that Henkel purchased Staub a couple of years ago, perhaps they've tinkered with the process.
