There's the meat of a good book here, and I definitely want to encourage the author in that regard. But it got so bogged down in confusing pronoun nonsense (please learn the difference between singular and plural) and the most awkward romance imaginable, filled with requests for permission. None of it had anything to do with developing the story, and just felt a sad PSA for political correctness.
