I liked the story and kept reading because it really held my interest and kept me guessing. The only thing was the "they/them/their" references to Szyg. I wish the book just used the Syzg name instead of all the pronouns because it was confusing in reading. I did love all the characters except for Doug of course! I think I'll read another of Laurens books!
