I was looking to replace the outdated, yellowing, plastic fluorescent under cabinet lights.
1. The ideal replacement would the power cord to be plugged into the above the microwave outlet.
2. Have a metal enclosure that was lower in profile.
3. Daylight with dimming
4. Lastly, have the non-touch on/off
I was extremely pleased to have found this under cabinet lighting. It has 5 selectable light options for warm to cool, the longest power cord at ~ 8 feet, a smaller power connection plug to attach to the fixture AND the wave on/off feature with touch less dimming. They were very easy to install and function great.
Don't forget to look at replacing that halogen bulb in your microwave to finish the look. I was surprised at how much heat they generate and the low quality light it delivers. My GE takes a G8 bulb that will arrive today. Can't to get it swapped.
