Troy Slattery (born 6 August 1973) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played at club level for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Huddersfield Giants, and the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, as a five-eighth , prop , hooker , second-row, or lock. [1] [2]

Initially, South Sydney lost the final to Western Suburbs, however rules at the time allowed the minor premiers the right of rematch. Souths defeated Wests, and thus were the season's premiers. Following Round 1's loss to Wests, South Sydney would win the rest of the next 13 games consecutively.

The 1939 South Sydney Rabbitohs season was the 32nd in the club's history. The club competed in the New South Wales Rugby Football League Premiership (NSWRFL), finishing the season fourth.
