PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia, commonly known as Trans TV, is an Indonesian free-to-air television broadcaster based in South Jakarta that was launched on December 15, 2001, and is owned by Chairul Tanjung. Programming consists of newscasts, movies, drama series, variety shows, quiz shows, and children's television series. Trans TV was Indonesia's main broadcaster of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, showing most group matches and all of the final matches, which led to the channel topping Indonesian television ratings as of June 19, 2018. Trans TV was incorporated under a license from the Department of Trade and Industry, South Jakarta, with Number 809/BH.09.05/III/1998. Its shares are primarily owned by Para Inti Investindo, a subsidiary of Para Group. In August 1998, Trans TV's existence was published in State Gazette No. 8687 as PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia. At that time, Trans TV was obtaining permission to broadcast; initially planned in October 1998 and based in Jakarta, it was operating from Trans TV Television Centre Headquarters at Jalan Kapten Pierre Tendean No. 12-14A in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. In Jakarta, it was born as Televisi Transformasi Indonesia (Trans TV) and was granted a broadcasting license.
Its technician[ clarification needed ] stations started television broadcasting metropolitan on July 1, 2001, at 16:00 local time, and began trial transmission in Jabodetabek (the area surrounding Jakarta). Trans TV currently broadcasts via UHF (ultra high frequency) and was located on UHF channel 29 in Jabodetabek (via Jakarta) with the pattern of broadcasting techniques for runtime of three hours daily at Trans TV Television Centre Headquarters at Jalan Kapten Pierre Tendean No. 12-14A in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, for the trial of technician stations for three months between July 1, 2001 to September 30, 2001.
Trans TV's trial transmission stations started television broadcasting metropolitan programs. Trans-Tune in was officially inaugurated in Bandung and surroundings on October 1, 2001, at 16:00 local time in the afternoon. It was aired on the network by Kamera, which had started a test of transmission and was officially launched from Bandung Supermal, the most extensive city in the capital of West Java. Later, Trans TV was introduced to the public. On the studio stage, the two hosts bring interactive quizzes to attract potential audience members while presenting a series of music video clips. The program presents the News Division, which contains features both primetime evening-nightly, main prime news bulletin actual programs aired Berita Hari Ini (News Today) was broadcast for 30 minutes (mid-hours) and one news journalist reader for male and female, with the pattern of broadcasting techniques for runtime a 2-hours on daily at Trans TV Television Centre Headquarters at Jalan Kapten Pierre Tendean No. 12-14A in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta in Jakarta.
The channel officially started its trial broadcasts on October 25, 2001, at 16:00 WIB. It began trial transmission in Jabodetabek (the Jakarta surrounding area) and Bandung via UHF (ultra high frequency), and it was located on UHF channel 29 in Jabodetabek (via Jakarta) and UHF channel 42 in Bandung. It was the first time a channel tested its broadcast in two cities rather than in one. Its trial broadcast lasted for 45 days between October 25, 2001, and November 15, 2001, at Trans TV Television Centre Headquarters at Jalan Kapten Pierre Tendean No. 12-14A in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.
Its trial transmission stations started television broadcasting nationwide in Ramadhan 2001 at 16:00 local time in the afternoon. They began trial transmission in Jabodetabek (the area surrounding Jakarta). Trans-Tune was officially renamed Transvaganza, and it was runtime broadcasting for six hours each day. Trans TV started showing American movies and television series for television broadcasting for 29 days between November 16, 2001, and December 14, 2001, at Trans TV Television Centre Headquarters at Jalan Kapten Pierre Tendean No. 12-14A in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. Trans TV went on air for the first time in a trial of broadcasts to seven cities, including Jabodetabek (via Jakarta, UHF 29), Bandung (UHF 42), Semarang (UHF 29), Yogyakarta (UHF 24), Solo (UHF 24), Surabaya (UHF 22), and Medan (UHF 27) in November 2001.
Trans TV officially opened television broadcasting on-air nationwide on December 15, 2001 at 18:30 local time in the evening. In Jabodetabek (via Jakarta), the UHF channel for Trans TV is channel 29. Trans TV went on air for the first time in a trial of broadcasts to seven cities, such as Jakarta (UHF 29), Bandung (UHF 42), Semarang (UHF 29), Yogyakarta (UHF 24), Solo (UHF 24), Surabaya (UHF 22), and Medan (UHF 27). Other Indonesian cities are expected to follow later through the establishment of national television stations that relay the television broadcast of Trans TV. This channel is only available on pay and satellite television on the Indovision platform on channel 87, the First Media platform on channel 9, and the Palapa C2 satellite.
From its founding until the logo change in 2013 (in which using the "Diamond A" logo that introduced in mid-2011), the Trans TV logo was originally a stylized rhombus (intended to be a diamond), with the inscription "TRANS" in the middle (in Optima typeface) and the letters T and V respectively in the top and bottom forming an isosceles right triangle.
The logo (above) became gray instead when used on-air, and it was the first Indonesian TV channel to use gray logos during commercial breaks. Until 2002, Trans TV placed its logo on the bottom-right corner and it was in color, [2] since then, their logos have been always placed on the top-right.
On 15 December 2013, in conjunction with the 12th anniversary of Trans Media, the logos of Trans TV (and Trans7) went into total overhaul. No longer featuring a symbol, this logo only consists of the inscription "TRɅNSTV" (in Gotham typeface) with stylized A, of which that letter is (also) interpreted as a diamond (the "A diamond" has been introduced since mid 2011).
Trans TV programming includes variety shows such as Extravaganza , The Dorce Show, and Indonesian versions of Thank God You're Here (Akhirnya Datang Juga) and The Gong Show . It also broadcasts religious programs, movies, gossip shows, soap operas, and regular news.[ citation needed ]
Trans TV has broadcast every Thomas & Uber Cup since 2002 (except 2006 on Lativi and 2010 on Trans7). Sport programs included the 2002 Tiger Cup, La Liga, and Copa del Rey in 2001–2003.[ citation needed ] Since 2012, Trans TV has broadcast football matches from the FA Community Shield, La Liga (together with Trans7), Copa del Rey (excluding the final match), England National Football, and the British FA Cup.[ citation needed ]
Since December 15, 2017, Trans Media, together with Telkom Indonesia, Kompas Gramedia, and MNC Media (MNC Vision only), has officially obtained the broadcasting rights for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. [3]
RCTI is a West Jakarta-based Indonesian free-to-air television broadcaster. It is best known for its soap operas, celebrity bulletins, news, and sports programmes. It was first launched in 1989, originally as a local pay television operator that broadcasts mostly foreign programmes, before switching to free-to-air terrestrial network a year later.
PT Global Informasi Bermutu, operating as GTV, which is an initialism derived from its previous name, Global TV, is an Indonesian free-to-air television network. It was launched on 8 October 2002. Originally a music television channel as MTV broadcaster in Indonesia and Asia, it was one of the first television network in the world to broadcast MTV for 24 hours a day free-to-air over UHF. GTV shifted its focus to general entertainment programming targeting young adults. Currently, the broadcaster airs news, soap opera, reality and game shows, along with Nickelodeon animation series and anime, making up its programming schedule. It is owned by Media Nusantara Citra (MNC), which also owns RCTI, MNCTV and iNews.
TVRI is an Indonesian national public television network and one of Indonesia's two national Public Broadcasting Institutions, the other being the public radio network RRI. First publicly airing in 24 August 1962, on the opening day of, and established as part of the preparations for, the 1962 Asian Games, it is the oldest television network in the country. Its national headquarters is in Gelora, Central Jakarta.
PT Indosiar Visual Mandiri, commonly known as Indosiar, is an Indonesian over-the-air television broadcaster, established on 19 July 1991, with test broadcasts commencing on 18 December 1994, and officially launching on 11 January 1995. PT Duta Visual Nusantara Tivi Tujuh, operating as Trans7 or TRANS7 in all caps is an Indonesian free-to-air television broadcaster owned by Trans Media, a part of Trans Corp, which in turn is a subsidiary of CT Corp. The channel was officially launched as TV7 on 25 November 2001 at 5:00 PM local time. The final transmission and broadcast aired on 15 December 2006 at 19:00 WIB. The network was then sold by Kompas Gramedia Group to Trans Media and changed the name from TV7 to Trans7.
PT Media Televisi Indonesia, operating as Metro TV, is an Indonesian free-to-air television news network based in West Jakarta. It was established on November 25, 2000, and now has over 52 relay stations all over the country. It is owned by Surya Paloh who also owns the Media Indonesia daily. These two, along with other newspapers distributed in different parts of Indonesia, are part of the Media Group.

PT Metropolitan Televisindo, operating as Rajawali Televisi is an Indonesian television broadcaster in Indonesia, owned by Rajawali Corpora. RTV is categorised as "family television", licensed via the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Its frequency is coordinated through the Department of Transportation.
PT MNC Televisi Indonesia, operating as MNCTV is an Indonesian private free-to-air television broadcaster. It was founded on 23 January 1990, at first broadcasting only educational programmes, but has since become similar to other Indonesian TV networks, showing programs such as quizzes, sinetron, reality TV shows, sports shows, newscasts, and recently, dangdut music.
Digital terrestrial television in Indonesia (DVB-T2) began in 2009 and, in most areas, operates alongside the analog TV system. The first phase of the nationwide analog shutdown took place in 166 regencies and cities, including Dumai, Banda Aceh, Batam, Tanjungpinang, Serang, Bali, Samarinda, Tanjung Selor, Tarakan, Makassar, and Jayapura, starting on 30 April 2022. Dumai was the first to shut down, with the rest of phase one following before phase two began. The shutdown process was simplified into three stages, originally scheduled for 17 August 2021 but postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and concerns about public readiness.
Jalan H.R. Rasuna Said or Jalan Rasuna Said is one of the main avenues of Jakarta, Indonesia. It was constructed during the 1970s. It is located in the Golden Triangle of Jakarta. The road was named after Hajjah Rangkayo Rasuna Said, a National Hero of Indonesia. The road runs 4.9 km (3.0 mi) from Setiabudi, South Jakarta, to Tendean, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. The Rasuna Said Street is also one of the Odd–even Traffic Restriction Scheme implementation zones.

Mediatama Television, from founding on 18 May 2013 until his resignation on 22 October 2019. He served as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy under Joko Widodo between 23 October 2019 and 22 December 2020. His deputy minister before being called off was Angela Tanoesoedibjo.

TVRI, formerly known as TVRI Jakarta Central Station is the main national public television channel owned by LPP Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI). The channel began broadcasting on 24 August 1962, making it the first television station in Indonesia. The channel was also the only television channel in Indonesia until 1989, when Programa Dua TVRI in Jakarta broadcast separately from TVRI and private television stations began broadcasting.
Transjakarta Corridor 13 is a bus rapid transit corridor in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia, operated by Transjakarta. It serves the route from CBD Ciledug BRT station in Tangerang, Banten, to Tegal Mampang BRT station in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta; though it is currently shortened temporarily and starts from Puri Beta 2 station. The roads traversed by Corridor 13 are HOS Tjokroaminoto (Tangerang), Ciledug Raya, Kebayoran Lama, Kyai Maja, Trunojoyo, Wolter Monginsidi, and Kapten Tendean. This is the first corridor on the BRT system to operate on a separated elevated track, running via a 9,3 kilometre long and 8 metre wide dedicated elevated bus lane, with height ranging from 18 to 23 metres above ground level. The elevated track starts from Kapten Tendean Road where Tegal Mampang station is located and spans all the way to Ciledug Raya Road near intersection with Adam Malik Road, where Petukangan Utara station is located.
