Team Bahrain Victorious ( UCI team code:TBV [2] ) is a UCI WorldTeam cycling team from Bahrain which was founded in 2017. [3] Its title sponsor is the government of Bahrain.
The idea for a Bahrain pro cycling team was started in August 2016 by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. [4] The team is financed by the government of Bahrain to promote the country worldwide.
On 5 September 2018, the UCI announced that an out-of-competition test had resulted in an adverse analytical finding of erythropoietin in a sample collected 31 July 2018. Kanstantsin Sivtsov was provisionally suspended pending the result of any B sample test. [5]
Following Stage 17 of the 2021 Tour de France, French police raided the team's hotel and bus on the suspicion of doping. [6] The Police confirmed they conducted the raids and have the riders' training files in their possession, and "A preliminary enquiry has been opened to see if there has been, or not, acquisition, transport or possession of banned substances". [7]
On 27 June 2022, four days before the first stage of the 2022 Tour de France, Europol raided residences of several Team Bahrain Victorious staff and riders in several countries including Slovenia, Poland, and Spain. The team stated that the raids were directly linked to the hotel searches that took place at the previous year’s Tour, while Matej Mohorič and Jan Tratnik denied that their properties had been searched. During the fifth stage of the Tour de Suisse on 15 June 2023, Swiss rider Gino Mäder fell in a turn when descending from the stage's highest point at Albula Pass. Mäder, 26, was found to be unconscious and submerged in water. He was resuscitated and airlifted to a hospital in Chur. Mäder died from his injuries a day later. [9] [10] Bahrain Victorious, along with two other teams, withdrew from the Tour on the next stage of competitive racing on 17 June 2023. [11]

Roman Kreuziger is a Czech former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2006 and 2021 for six different teams. His father, Roman Kreuziger Sr., was also a bicycle racer who won the Tour of Austria in 1991 and the Cyclocross Junior World Championships in 1983.

A stage winner at both the 2021 Giro d'Italia and the 2021 Vuelta a España, Caruso was also the 2008 under-23 Italian national champion for the road race. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the road race.
Sonny Colbrelli is an Italian former road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional from 2012 to 2022.
Pello Bilbao López de Armentia is a Spanish Basque cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious.
Matej Mohorič is a Slovenian professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious. Mohorič turned professional in 2014. He won the Slovenian National Road Race Championships in 2018 and 2021, and the UCI Gravel World Championships in 2023.
Dylan Teuns is a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Israel–Premier Tech.

Gino Mäder was a Swiss road and track cyclist. He last rode for UCI WorldTeam Team Bahrain Victorious. Mäder died as a result of an accident during the 2023 Tour de Suisse.

The 2018 BinckBank Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 13 and 19 August 2018 in Belgium and the Netherlands. It was the 14th edition of the BinckBank Tour and the twenty-ninth event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. The stage race was won by the Slovenian Matej Mohorič.
The 2021 Tour de France was the 108th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three grand tours. Originally planned for the Danish capital of Copenhagen, the start of the 2021 Tour was transferred to Brest because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with Copenhagen hosting four matches in the UEFA Euro 2020, which had also been rescheduled to 2021 because of the pandemic. Originally scheduled for 2 to 25 July 2021, the Tour was moved to 26 June to 18 July 2021 to avoid the rescheduled 2020 Summer Olympics. This would have been the first occasion on which the Tour de France had visited Denmark. Denmark instead hosted the Grand Départ in 2022.
The 2019 Deutschland Tour was a road cycling stage race that took place between 29 August and 1 September 2019. This year's edition of the Deutschland Tour was the 34th edition and was rated as a 2.HC event as part of the 2019 UCI Europe Tour. The defending champion, Slovenian Matej Mohorič of Bahrain–Merida, did not return to defend his title, though his team was invited. After taking the lead in the overall classification after stage 3, Belgian Jasper Stuyven of Trek–Segafredo held off Sonny Colbrelli and Yves Lampaert, who finished second and third overall respectively, on the final stage to take the overall victory.
The 2021 season for Team Bahrain Victorious was the fifth season in the team's existence, all of which have been as a UCI WorldTeam. After just one year, British car manufacturer McLaren withdrew from its co-title sponsorship, citing a desire to "focus on motorsport after the uncertainty caused ... by the coronavirus pandemic." The team then took on the name of Victorious Stables, a horse racing stable owned by team owner Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with the adjective serving as "a constant reminder of [the team's] goal to achieve success at the highest level both on and off the bike."
The 2022 season for Team Bahrain Victorious is the sixth season in the team's existence, all of which have been as a UCI WorldTeam, and the second under the current name. They use Merida bicycles, Shimano drivetrain, Vision wheels and Alé clothing.
The 2022 Tour of Slovenia was the 28th edition of the Tour of Slovenia stage race scheduled between 15 and 19 June 2022. The 2.Pro-category race is a part of the UCI ProSeries. The tour was participated by defending Tour de France and Tour of Slovenia winner Tadej Pogačar and Matej Mohorič, first and sixth, respectively, by the UCI Men's road racing world ranking list.
The 2023 Tour of Slovenia was the 29th edition of the Tour of Slovenia stage race, held between 14 and 18 June 2023. The 2.Pro-category race is part of the UCI ProSeries. The race started in Celje. The tour consisted of five stages, with a total distance of 833.3 km and 9134 m of elevation gain. The total prizemoney was €70,775.
The 2024 season for the Team Bahrain Victorious team is the team's 8th season in existence, all of which have been as a UCI WorldTeam.
