Sport Lisboa e Benfica, commonly known as Benfica, is a professional football club based in Lisbon, Portugal, that competes in the Primeira Liga, the top flight of Portuguese football.
The Primeira Liga, officially known as Liga Portugal Betclic for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it is contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest-placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division.
SuperSport is a prominent sports broadcaster with a rich history of international operations. Originally, it extended its reach beyond Africa, operating in various European regions, including Scandinavia, Benelux, Italy, Eastern Europe, Greece, and Cyprus. These operations were initially launched by FilmNet and later came under the ownership of MultiChoice. However, these channels have since been replaced. SuperSport also operated in Thailand under the name True Sport and had a presence in Egypt and the Middle East through partnerships with the Cable Network of Egypt (CNE) and the Arab Radio and Television Network.
V Sport is the common brand of several sports channels targeting the Nordic countries, owned by Viaplay Group. The brand has been introduced in June 2020, replacing the former brands Viasat Sport and Viasport. Ziggo Sport Totaal is a Dutch premium television service operated by Ziggo and owned by VodafoneZiggo, a joint venture between Liberty Global and Vodafone. Ziggo Sport Totaal launched as Sport1 with its sister service Film1 on 1 February 2006 and replaced the Canal+ Netherlands channels. Film1 was sold to Sony Pictures Television on 21 July 2015, while Sport1 remained Liberty Global-owned. At launch the service consisted of two main channels, six extra channels and one HD simulcast of the first main channel. On 2 February 2009 the number of extra channels was reduced to four. The extra channels only broadcast when necessary to live broadcast multiple sport events at the same time. The service was rebranded to Ziggo Sport Totaal on 12 November 2015.

Its headquarters are located at the Estádio da Luz, having a second studio at Benfica Campus. Its first broadcast was on 2 October 2008, and regular transmissions began on 10 December. The channel was originally made available for free on all of its cable operators until June 2013.
Astro SuperSport is an English language in-house subscription satellite television network in Malaysia dedicated to broadcasting sports-related content 24 hours a day. Astro SuperSport 1 to 4 are available on the Astro via Channels 811 to 814 (HD) to subscribers of the Sports Pack only. Fox Soccer Plus is an American sports channel dedicated to soccer and rugby league football. Launched in 2005 by the Irish sports broadcaster Setanta Sports to offer live and tape-delayed mainstream sports events in the United States and Caribbean, it was rebranded on March 1, 2010, as a spin-off of the now-defunct Fox Soccer after its owner News Corporation acquired the channel and its coverage rights from Setanta in January 2010.

It consists of nine channels and features live football coverage from top leagues in Europe including Lega Serie A, as well as exclusive coverage of 8 teams of Super League and the Greek Cup. It also airs coverage of other sports including Formula 1, Volleyball and Tennis. Also, Cosmote TV has the rights to show UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and the newly UEFA Europa Conference League exclusively for the next 3 years (2021–2024).

The 2013 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 35th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, the annual Portuguese football season-opening match contested by the winners of the previous season's top league and cup competitions. It took place on 10 August 2013 at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro in Aveiro, and was contested between Porto, the 2012–13 Primeira Liga winners, and Vitória de Guimarães, the 2012–13 Taça de Portugal winners.
The 2017 Taça de Portugal final was the final match of the 2016–17 Taça de Portugal, which decided the winner of the 77th season of the Taça de Portugal. It was played on 28 May 2017 at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, between Benfica and Vitória de Guimarães.
