Sattiraju Lakshminarayana, known professionally as Bapu, was an Indian film director, painter, illustrator, cartoonist, screenwriter, music artist, and designer known for his works in Telugu cinema, and Hindi cinema. In 2013, he was awarded the Padma Shri, for his contribution to Indian art and cinema. He has garnered two National Honors, two National Film Awards, seven state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, a Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South.

Konidela Pawan Kalyan is an Indian politician, actor and philanthropist serving as the 11th Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh since June 2024. The film is a remake of Tamil film Thirupaachi (2005). The film released on 29 December 2006. It was an average grosser at the box-office. It also marked Asin's last Telugu film, to date.

Yogi is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by V. V. Vinayak, starring Prabhas, Nayanthara and Sharada. It also features Ali, Subbaraju, Pradeep Rawat and Kota Srinivasa Rao in the supporting roles. Ramana Gogula composed the music for V. V. Vinayak's earlier hit Lakshmi, also composed music for this film. Songs were shot in Canada, Egypt, and Malaysia. This film is a remake of the 2005 Kannada blockbuster film Jogi by Prem. The film was released on 12 January 2007.

Thammudu is a 1999 Indian Telugu-language sports action film written and directed by P. A. Arun Prasad. The films stars Pawan Kalyan, Preeti Jhangiani, and Aditi Govitrikar. Bhupinder Singh, Achyuth, Brahmanandam, Ali, and Kitty play supporting roles. Thammudu was produced by Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna under the Sri Venkateswara Art Films banner. The music is composed by Ramana Gogula with cinematography by Madhu Ambat and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. Thammudu was inspired by the 1979 American film Breaking Away.

Kushi is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by S. J. Suryah, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika. Mani Sharma provided the score and soundtrack. Pawan Kalyan also choreographed all the action sequences in the film. Initially begun in 1999 as a bilingual along with its Tamil version, also titled Kushi (2000), the Telugu version was delayed due to Kalyan's prior commitment to Badri (2000).

Yuvaraju (transl. Prince) is a 2000 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed and produced by Y. V. S. Chowdary. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Sakshi Shivanand and Simran in lead roles. The film was an average at the box-office.

Badri is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language sports drama film directed by P. A. Arun Prasad. The film stars Vijay in the main lead role as a college brat who turns into a kickboxer to prove himself. Bhumika, Monal, Vivek, Riyaz Khan and Bhupinder Singh play supporting roles. The film marked Bhumika’s Tamil debut. The film's soundtrack was composed by Ramana Gogula, while the background score was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. It is the Tamil remake of the director's own Telugu film Thammudu (1999).
