PMPC Star Awards for Television is an annual award-giving body recognizing the outstanding programming produced by the several TV networks in the Philippines. [1]
It was founded by the Philippine Movie Press Club, an organization of tabloid reporters, in 1987.
The PMPC Star Awards for Television is generally held in October (1987–2004, 2006, 2016, 2018–2019 and 2021), November (2007–2014 and 2017) and/or December (2005 and 2015). But due to the awarding event skips the 4th quarter of a previous year, It is held in January 2023. They are seen in rotation among the television channels such as ABS-CBN 2 (1988–1989 and 2009–2019), TV5 (2008), RPN 9 (1987, 1990, 2000–2004 and 2006–2007), IBC 13 (1991–1999 and 2005) and STV (2021).

This will be given to a show and an artist (which is one category) that won their respective category, 15 times.

Vandolph Lacsamana Quizon is a Filipino actor, comedian and politician. He also serves as a councilor of Parañaque from the 1st district since 2016.
The Buzz is a Philippine television talk show broadcast by ABS-CBN. Originally hosted by Boy Abunda, it aired on the network's Yes Weekend line up from June 13, 1999 to April 5, 2015, replacing Showbiz Lingo and was replaced by Kapamilya Mega Blockbusters. Abunda, Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga served as the final hosts. It is the longest running talk show of ABS-CBN.
Wilfredo "Willie" Buendia Revillame, is a Filipino television host, comedian, drummer, singer, songwriter, actor, and businessman. He has hosted numerous variety shows including Magandang Tanghali Bayan, Wowowee, Wil Time Bigtime, and Wowowin. He has signed contracts with four Philippine television networks including ABS-CBN, GMA Network, TV5, and ALLTV. Revillame returned to TV5 in 2024, signing a new co-production deal with MediaQuest after leaving ALLTV the year prior.
Ana Karylle Padilla Tatlonghari-Yuzon, known mononymously as Karylle, is a Filipino singer and actress. Having achieved mainstream success across stage, screen, and music, her accolades include four Awit Awards, an Asian Television Award, two MTV Pilipinas Music Award, a New York Festivals International TV and Film Award, and a Star Award for Television, including nominations from Monte Carlo Festival, Aliw Awards and Golden Screen Awards.
Carmela "Mel" Corro Tiangco is a Filipino television newscaster and television host. She is one of the news pillars of GMA News and Public Affairs and a multi-awarded news anchor.
Eugenio "Boy" Romerica Abunda Jr. is a Filipino television presenter, publicist, and talent manager. Known as the "King of Talk", Abunda has presented several talk shows centered on the Philippine entertainment industry. On GMA, he co-presented Show & Tell (1994–1995) and Startalk (1995–1999). After transferring to ABS-CBN, he hosted The Buzz (1999–2015), Kontrobersyal (2003–2006), Homeboy (2005–2007), The Bottomline with Boy Abunda (2009–2020), and Tonight with Boy Abunda (2015–2020). He partnered with Kris Aquino in hosting Boy & Kris (2007–2009), SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon (2009–2011), and Aquino & Abunda Tonight (2014–2015). After the ABS-CBN shutdown, he returned to GMA to host Fast Talk with Boy Abunda (2023–present). In the PMPC Star Awards for Television, he has been inducted to the Hall of Fame for having won Best Celebrity Talk Show Host 11 times while Tonight with Boy Abunda was awarded Best Celebrity Talk Show 4 times.
Entertainment Live is a Philippine showbiz oriented talk show broadcast by ABS-CBN airing every Saturday afternoon after the defunct noontime show Happy Yipee Yehey!. The show premiered August 4, 2007, replacing Gokada Go! and was first hosted by the Pinoy Big Brother hosts, Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, and Bianca Gonzales. In 2008, Luis Manzano was added as a co-host of the show. Due to Kris Aquino's absence in her talk shows in 2010, Gonzaga replaced her in The Buzz while Gonzalez replaced her in SNN. In 2010, the new co-hosts were revealed as Cesca Litton and Nikki Gil replacing them. After SNN ended airing, Gonzalez returned hosting E-Live. The show officially ended on January 28, 2012, and it was replaced by Showbiz Inside Report.

Alejandro "Kim" Ilagan Atienza, also called Kuya Kim, is a Filipino television presenter. Prior to becoming the resident weather anchor for TV Patrol, Atienza served as councilor of the 5th District of Manila for three terms. He is known for his famous trivia stints on TV and radio, especially in his own show, Matanglawin. He is currently working for GMA Network as a presenter for "Dapat Alam Mo!" and "TiktoClock".
Gandang Gabi, Vice is a Philippine television talk show broadcast by ABS-CBN. Hosted by Vice Ganda, it aired on the network's Yes Weekend line-up from May 22, 2011 to March 8, 2020, replacing Star Power.

Golden Screen TV Awards is a yearly awards night that recognizes the outstanding programs and personalities from different TV networks in the Philippines including ABS-CBN, TV5, GMA Network, among others.
The 29th PMPC Star Awards for Television awarding ceremony was held on December 3, 2015, at the Kia Theatre, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City and will be broadcast on ABS-CBN Channel 2 on December 6, 2015. The awards night is hosted by Boy Abunda, Gelli de Belen, Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, Christian Bautista and Toni Gonzaga, with opening number performed by Grae Fernandez, Ataska Mercado, Bailey May, Ylona Garcia, and additional musical performances from Christian Bautista, Klarisse de Guzman, Darren Espanto, Sofia Andres, Rodjun Cruz, Ella Cruz, and a tribute number for the Lifetime Achievement Awardees will be performed by Mark Mabasa, Lucky Robles, Lilibeth Garcia and JV Decena. The awards night will be under the direction of Mr. Bert de Leon.
The PMPC Star Award for Best Celebrity Talk Show is given to the best television celebrity talk show of the year and also celebrity talk show hosts.
Adhiraj Gaur, popularly known as Addy Raj, is an Indian actor, singer, model and former track athlete living in the Philippines. He was introduced in showbiz by ABS-CBN's I Love OPM in 2016. He later transferred to rival network GMA and was offered a lead role in the TV series Meant to Be, a romantic-comedy drama. He portrays the role of Jai Patel, an Indian suitor to Billie Bendiola, in the show.
