NBA Live 2003 is the 2002 installment of the NBA Live video games series. The cover features Jason Kidd as a member of the New Jersey Nets. The game was developed by EA Canada and released on October 8, 2002 for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube consoles and November 14, 2002 for Microsoft Windows. It was the last NBA Live game to be released on the original PlayStation. The game includes a soundtrack, which is the first video game soundtrack in history to be certified Platinum by the RIAA, selling over 1,300,000 copies worldwide. [8]

Reception

The game received "favorable" reviews on all platforms according to video game review aggregator Metacritic. [9] [10] [11] [12] In Japan, where the PlayStation 2 version was released on November 28, 2002, Famitsu gave that console version a score of 32 out of 40. [16] NBA Live 2003 was a runner-up for GameSpot's annual "Best Sports Game on PC" award, which went to Madden NFL 2003 . It was also nominated for GameSpot's annual "Best Traditional Sports Game on GameCube" award, but lost to NFL 2K3 . [41] During the AIAS' 6th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, NBA Live 2003 received a nomination for "Computer Sports Game of the Year", yet ultimately lost to Madden NFL 2003 . [42]

<i>Madden NFL 2003</i> 2002 video game

Madden NFL 2003 is an American football simulation video game based on the NFL that was developed by EA Tiburon and Budcat Creations and published by EA Sports. The 14th installment of the Madden NFL series, the game features former St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk on the cover. This edition of Madden was the first to have EA Trax, the Mini Camp mode, and to feature Al Michaels as play-by-play announcer, who took over for Pat Summerall. Although it featured the expansion Houston Texans and the relocation of the Seattle Seahawks to the NFC, it was actually the second to do so. The game was released on August 12, 2002 for the Game Boy Advance, GameCube, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The PlayStation version also includes the Sega Genesis version of John Madden Football 93.

The game was developed by EA Sports and released on October 30, 2001, for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation, and November 15, 2001, for the Xbox. This game was commentated by Don Poier and former NBA player Bob Elliot. It was a launch title for Xbox in North America and Europe.

<i>NBA Live 2004</i> 2003 video game

NBA Live 2004 is the 2004 installment of the NBA Live sports video game series. The game was developed by EA Canada and released in 2003. It is graphically similar to NCAA March Madness 2004 and has the same create-a-player models. It was the last EA game to include Michael Jordan. The cover shows Vince Carter as a member of the Toronto Raptors; in Spain it is Raul Lopez instead. This was also the first game to feature the Charlotte Bobcats, who would play their first season of basketball in the fall of 2004. Since the game's rosters were finalized before the Bobcats would host their expansion draft, the Bobcats' lineup consisted of players named after their specific positions; for example, the point guard was named "Point Guard".

<i>Outlaw Golf</i> Video game series

Outlaw Golf is a series of golf video games developed by Hypnotix, that are intended for adults and mature teens. Outlaw Golf was released for the Xbox on June 11, 2002; for GameCube on October 30, 2002; and for Microsoft Windows on September 30, 2003. A standalone expansion, Outlaw Golf: 9 Holes of X-Mas was released December 23, 2002 exclusively to Blockbuster. A second standalone expansion, Outlaw Golf: 9 More Holes of X-Mas, was released November 15, 2003 also exclusively to Blockbuster. An official sequel, Outlaw Golf 2, was released for Xbox on October 21, 2004, and for PlayStation 2 on November 25, 2004. The games are part of the Outlaw series, and other titles include Outlaw Volleyball and Outlaw Tennis. The Xbox version was released in Japan as part of Xbox World Collection series.

<i>Legends of Wrestling II</i> 2002 video game

Legends of Wrestling II is a professional wrestling video game developed by Acclaim Studios Salt Lake City, published by Acclaim Entertainment, and released on November 26, 2002, for both the PlayStation 2 and GameCube. It was later released for the Xbox on December 5, 2002. It is the sequel to the 2001 professional wrestling video game Legends of Wrestling. Legends II contains 25 wrestlers that were not in the first game, though also excludes Rob Van Dam, presumably because he had recently been signed to a WWE contract. The game does contain Eddie Guerrero who, although unemployed at the time, re-signed with WWE by the time the game was released. A Game Boy Advance version of the game was released on November 25, 2002. It was the last game developed by Acclaim's Salt Lake City studio before its closure in December 2002.

NBA Live 06 is a 2005 installment of the NBA Live series released for Windows, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, and mobile devices. It was developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts under the EA Sports publishing label. The game features several game modes, including Dynasty, Season, Playoffs, or Free Play. It features Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat on the cover. This was the last NBA Live game on the GameCube and it also was the first NBA Live game on the Xbox 360 as a launch title and on the PlayStation Portable.
