The Lulu International Convention Centre is located at Puzhakkal, in Thrissur city of Kerala state. The property is owned and managed by Yusuff Ali M.A. Chairman and managing director of Lulu Group International, which has extensive business in retail, hospitality, real estate etc. The 5,000-seat [1] convention centre was built by EMKE Group of Industries. [2] Some of the interior architecture was by Evolution Interior Architecture. [3] The convention centre is spread across an area of 18 acres (73,000 m2) with a built-up area of 160,000 square feet (15,000 m2) [2] and has been divided into both indoor hall and open-air auditorium, with dining facility for 2,000 guests at a time. [1] The convention center has 5 venues for conferences, which can accommodate from 450 to 2,200 people. [2] [4] A 5-star Hotel (the Garden Hotel) is also present on the site. [2] It features an amazing parking for 1800 cars and also has an exclusive Helipad.
Thrissur, formerly Trichur, also known by its historical name Thrisshivaperur, is a city and the headquarters of the Thrissur district in Kerala, India. It is the fourth largest city in Kerala after Trivandrum, Kochi and Kozhikode, and the 21st largest in India. It is famous for the Thrissur Pooram festival. The city is built around a 65-acre (26 ha) hillock called the Thekkinkaadu Maidaanam which seats the Vadakkumnathan temple. It is located 304 kilometres (189 mi) north-west of the state's capital city, Trivandrum. Thrissur was once the capital of the Kingdom of Cochin. Thrissur is known as "Cultural Capital of Kerala" due of its cultural, spiritual and religious leanings throughout history. One of its main cultural events is the Thrissur Pooram, which attracts quite a number of tourists and travellers.

The University of Calicut also known as Calicut University, is a collegiate state public university in Malappuram District located in northern Kerala, India. Hill Palace is an archaeological museum and palace located in the Tripunithura neighbourhood of Kochi city in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the largest archeological museum in the state and was the imperial administrative office and official residence of the Cochin Maharaja. Built in 1865, the palace complex consists of 49 buildings in the traditional architectural style, spreading across 54 acres (220,000 m2). The complex has an archaeological museum, a heritage museum, a deer park, a pre-historic park and a children’s park. The campus of the museum is home to several rare species of medicinal plants. Presently the palace has been converted into a museum by The Kerala State Archaeology Department and is open to public. The palace is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from the city centre and is approachable by road and rail.
Ramavarmapuram is the northern suburb of Thrissur City in Kerala. This suburban area is home to several governmental and other institutions of national importance. The largest menhir type megalithic monument in granite in Kerala is found here. A local catholic church has recently been adorned with mural paintings in the traditional Kerala style. This is the first instance of such a church decoration in Kerala in modern times.

He is the chairman and managing director of LuLu Group International that owns the LuLu Hypermarket chain worldwide and LuLu International Shopping Mall. With an annual turnover of US$7.4 billion, LuLu Group International employs the largest number of Indians outside India. According to Forbes Middle East, Yusuff Ali was ranked No. 1 in Top 100 Indian business owners in the Arab World 2018. In 2006 he started his large business ventures in India, by starting a convention centre cum hotel at his native place Thrissur, Kerala namely Lulu Convention Centre. In 2013, Yusuff Ali acquired 4.99% of the Thrissur-based Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) and acquired 4.99% shares of Thrissur based Dhanalaxmi bank. Also in 2013, he increased his stake in the Aluva-based Federal Bank to 4.47%. In 2014 Yusuff Ali acquired 2% stake of South Indian Bank -another Thrissur based bank. In 2016, Yusuff Ali purchased the Scotland Yard Building in London. As of 2013 he held a 9.37% share in Cochin International Airport. He has bought a 10% stake in the UK-based trading firm, East India Company, and a 40% stake in its fine foods subsidiary for around $85 million in total. The Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre on Bolghatty Island is one of the largest convention centres in South Asia, along with the third largest Grand Hyatt branded hotel in the same campus.
LuLu International Shopping Mall is a shopping mall located in Edappally Kochi, Kerala. The mall its car parking facility, the convention center and the hotel altogether got total area of 1.85 million sq ft. With an average daily footfall of more than 80,000, it is one of the most visited places in Kerala. Spanning 17 acres (6.9 ha), the mall has a total retail space of 6.2 lakh sq ft. A hotel and convention center totaling 0.35 million sq feet is also build along with the project. The mall was opened in March 2013. It contains more than 225 outlets, including food courts, restaurants, family entertainment zones, a multiplex, ice skating rink, gaming arena, Beauty parlours, a toy train joy ride and bowling alley. Multiple events are usually conducted in the main atrium. The estimated cost for this project is more than ₹16 billion or US$250 million. The property is owned and managed by Yusuff Ali M.A. Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International. LuLu Mall in Kochi was their maiden retail venture in India.
