Coaching career
Blugh served as the head football coach at Bishop's University, his alma mater, from 2005 until his resignation after the 2010 season. [2] [3] He was named Defensive Line coach for Queen's University in August 2011 and spent two seasons with the Gaels.
After one year with the Edmonton Eskimos as their defensive line coach, he was hired by the Ottawa Redblacks to serve in the same capacity on February 3, 2014. [4] He spent six seasons with Ottawa, highlighted by a championship win in the 104th Grey Cup game. After the Redblacks' head coach, Rick Campbell, resigned and joined the BC Lions, Blugh was announced as part of his 2020 staff on January 6, 2020. [5] However, the team did not play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the 2020 CFL season and Blugh resigned from his position with the Lions on July 20, 2021, for personal reasons. [6] After sitting out for one year, he was named the defensive line coach for the Queen's Gaels on June 6, 2022. [7]
Joe Paopao is a former professional Canadian football quarterback and coach in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Paopao played 11 seasons in the CFL and was a member of the BC Lions, Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Ottawa Rough Riders. He began his coaching career with the BC Lions and has coached with five CFL organizations, including stints as head coach with the BC Lions in 1996 and the Ottawa Renegades from 2002–2005. He most recently served as the quarterbacks coach for the Ottawa Redblacks.
Bryan Chiu is the former offensive line coach for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and current head coach of Vancouver College. He was a professional Canadian football centre for the Montreal Alouettes from 1997 to 2009. He has also served as the offensive line coach for the Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa Redblacks.
Mark Washington is the defensive coordinator for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is also a retired professional Canadian football defensive back in the CFL, having played for the Montreal Alouettes and the BC Lions over 11 seasons. After his retirement, he joined the Lions as the defensive backs coach, and was promoted to defensive coordinator for the 2014 BC Lions season.
Barron Miles is a former professional Canadian football player who played for 12 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is the defensive coordinator for the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL. Miles finished his career tied for second all-time in career interceptions with 66 and as the all-time leader in blocked kicks with 13. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Mike Benevides is a professional Canadian football coach who is currently serving as the special teams coordinator for the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Benevides was the head coach for the Lions from 2012 though 2014. He has also been the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Edmonton Eskimos and defensive coordinator for the Ottawa Redblacks. He played college football at the defensive tackle position for the Bakersfield College Renegades before transferring to York University to play for the Yeomen.
The 2014 CFL season was the 61st season of modern-day Canadian football. It was the 57th Canadian Football League season. Vancouver hosted the 102nd Grey Cup on November 30. The league expanded to nine teams with the addition of the Ottawa Redblacks, giving the CFL nine teams for the first time since the 2005 season. As a result of the expansion, the schedule shifted to a 20-week regular season plus three weeks of playoffs ; the season started on June 26, 2014.
Rick Campbell is an American-born Canadian football head coach and co-general manager for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He was the Calgary Stampeders' defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2013 and was also an assistant coach with the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He then served as the head coach for the Ottawa Redblacks for six seasons. He is a three-time Grey Cup champion, once as the special teams coordinator with the Eskimos in 2003, again with the Eskimos as the defensive coordinator in 2005, and once as the head coach of the Redblacks in 2016. He attended Washington State University.
Zack Evans is a Canadian football defensive lineman who is a free agent. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion having won the 101st Grey Cup as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the 104th Grey Cup with the Ottawa Redblacks.
The 2015 CFL season was the 62nd season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 58th Canadian Football League season. The Edmonton Eskimos won the 103rd Grey Cup on November 29, defeating the Ottawa Redblacks 26–20 in Winnipeg. The schedule was released February 13, 2015 and the regular season began on June 25, 2015.

He played college football at the University of Akron and attended Westlake High School in Waldorf, Maryland. Kevin Francis is a professional Canadian football linebacker for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played as a tight end during his college football career with the North Carolina A&T Aggies. Francis has also been a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, BC Lions, and Edmonton Elks.

The 2018 Ottawa Redblacks season was the fifth season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Redblacks improved upon their 8–9–1 record from 2017, winning their ninth game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in an October 19 game, and finished with an 11–7 record. The team clinched a playoff berth and home playoff game for the fourth season in a row following the Toronto Argonauts' week 17 loss on October 6, 2018. After defeating the Tiger-Cats in the East Final, the Redblacks played in their third Grey Cup championship in four years, but lost to the Calgary Stampeders in the 106th Grey Cup game. This was the fifth season with Marcel Desjardins as general manager and Rick Campbell as head coach.
Thomas Condell is a professional Canadian football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a Grey Cup champion having won as an assistant coach with the Toronto Argonauts in 2017. He played college football as a wide receiver for the Lock Haven Bald Eagles and Cortland Red Dragons.
Cory McDiarmid is a Canadian gridiron football coach who is currently the special teams coach for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He previously coached in the CFL with several teams and is a two-time Grey Cup winner with the BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He has also coached for the Panthers Wrocław in the European League of Football.
