Leloaloa is a village on Tutuila Island, American Samoa. It is located in Maoputasi County. As of the 2010 U.S. census, the village had a population of 448. [1] It is the birthplace of former United States Representative Tulsi Gabbard and of American Samoan House of Representatives member Tapai Alailepule Benjamin Vaivao.
The name of the village, Leloaloa, is derived from the Samoan language and translates into English as “The Long". [2]

Gerald Michael Gabbard is an American politician, serving as the Hawaii State Senator for District 21 from the Democratic party, since 2006. Gabbard rose to prominence for efforts to prevent same-sex marriage in Hawaii by passing a 1998 amendment to the Constitution of Hawaii to give the state legislature "the power to reserve marriage to opposite-sex couples" under the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Gabbard, who was born in American Samoa, is the first person of Samoan descent to serve in the Hawaii Senate.

Former mayor Michael Bloomberg won the Democratic caucus, held on March 3. The Republican caucus, in the form of a territorial convention held on March 18, endorsed incumbent President Donald Trump.
The No More Presidential Wars Act was co-sponsored in the House of Representatives on September 13, 2018, by Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and the late congressman Walter Jones (R-NC) as an effort to “reclaim the responsibility Congress has [and] to be the body that declares war, to end these presidential wars that are being fought without the authorization of Congress.”
