Isaiah Davis (born February 21, 2002) [1] is an American professional football running back for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and was selected by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft.
Davis grew up in Joplin, Missouri. His family's home was destroyed in the 2011 Joplin tornado. He and his brother survived by laying under a mattress in a hallway of the house. [2] He attended Joplin High School. [3] He rushed for 1,676 yards and 28 touchdowns during his junior season. [4] As a senior, Davis was named the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year after he rushed for 2,283 yards and 45 touchdowns on 253 carries, caught 19 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns, and also made 52 tackles as a linebacker on defense. He lost to De Smet Jesuit High School in the 2019 Class 6A Missouri state championship. [5] Davis committed to play college football at South Dakota State. [6]
Davis's freshman season at South Dakota State (SDSU) was postponed from the fall to the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19. He rushed for 818 yards and 10 touchdowns during the season. [7] As a sophomore, Davis missed some time due to injuries and gained 701 yards and scored seven touchdowns on 95 carries. [8] He was named first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) rushed for 1,451 yards and 15 touchdowns as the Jackrabbits won the 2023 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game. Davis was selected with the 173rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft by the New York Jets. [13]

The program competes at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level as member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC). The Jackrabbits play their home games at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on South Dakota State's campus in Brookings, South Dakota.

He played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. He also had brief stints with the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Chicago Bears.
Robbie Rouse is a former American football running back. He played his college football at Fresno State University. Since 2023, he currently serves as the running backs coach for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits football team.
Ronald Keith Ryan Hillman Jr. was an American professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the San Diego State Aztecs, earning third-team All-American honors as a sophomore in 2011. He was selected by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft and was a member of their team that won Super Bowl 50. Hillman later spent time with the Minnesota Vikings, San Diego Chargers, and Dallas Cowboys.
Randy "Duke" Johnson Jr. is an American former professional football running back who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft after playing college football at the University of Miami. He played in the NFL for the Browns, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, and Buffalo Bills.
Donnel Laray Pumphrey Jr. is an American college football coach and former player who is the running backs coach for California State University, Sacramento, a position he has held since 2023. Pumphrey played college football as a running back for the San Diego State Aztecs. He is the official all-time leader in rushing yards in NCAA Division I FBS history. Pumphrey was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft, and spent offseasons with the Eagles and Detroit Lions. He played for the DC Defenders of the XFL in 2020.
Zachary Zenner is a former American football running back. He played college football at South Dakota State. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions in 2015. Zenner also played for the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, and Miami Dolphins.
Sony Michel is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs and was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. During his first three seasons with the Patriots, he was a member of the team that won Super Bowl LIII. He has also been a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets.

He played college football at Iowa State, where he was a two-time All-American and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Hall was selected by the Jets in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft.
