GobbleHoof were an American rock band from Amherst, [1] Massachusetts founded in 1990. [2] [3] [4] The group was led by Charlie Nakajima, previously of Deep Wound. [5]

Lead vocals were provided by Nakajima, and he was accompanied by guitarist Tim Aaron. [6] J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. played drums on the bands 1990 debut EP, "GobbleHoof". Mascis also produced GobbleHoof's debut album, Freezerburn, released in 1992. [7] [8]

Green Mind is the fourth studio album by alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr., released in 1991. It was the band's first release after bassist Lou Barlow's departure, as well as the first released by a major label. The record is close to being a J Mascis solo album: he played most of the instruments, with founding drummer Murph only featuring on three tracks.

Treepeople was an alternative rock band from Boise, Idaho, although its members were officially based in Seattle, Washington. The band was originally composed of vocalist/guitarist Scott Schmaljohn, drummer Wayne Flower, guitarist/vocalist Doug Martsch, and bassist Pat Brown. After six albums and various lineup changes, the band disbanded in 1994. The band's original lineup reformed in 2018, sans Brown due to his death in 1999. They eventually concluded their final tour in 2023.

Whatever's Cool with Me is an EP by the American band Dinosaur Jr. It was released on Sire Records in 1991. It contains the "Whatever's Cool With Me" single and the European single of "The Wagon". The band supported the EP by touring with My Bloody Valentine. "Quicksand" is a cover of the David Bowie song.

As a founding member of the band GobbleHoof, he played a role in the psychedelic punk grunge scene in early-1990s. He also performed extensively in other music groups, including Skunk, Model/Actress, Merrick, H.P. Zinker, and for Lisa Marie Presley. He is currently the frontman for the Los Angeles band, The Brite Sides.
