Claro TV+ (Claro TV until March 2022) is a Latin American operator of pay television. The service is supplied by Embratel and Claro companies and operates in Star One C4 satellite. Its transmission system is DTH (Direct to Home) in Ku Band, and the channels are encrypted by Nagravision 3 system. The reception is made via mini-satellite dish and a DVB-S2 receiver, and subscribers authentication is made by conditional access card.
In Brazil, it was launched as Via Embratel on December 16, 2008. As of October 2011, Via Embratel had achieved 2,000,000 subscribers. [1] Via Embratel was acquired by Claro on March 1, 2012, with the same service, price, payment method, programming, features and quality. The contract remained the same and the invoice was identified by Claro TV, together with Embratel Livre (which became Claro Fixo). On the same day, the Warner Channel debuted in HD. Via Embratel had operations throughout Brazil, as it operated in the satellite pay TV sector. Via Embratel Banda Larga and Via Embratel Fone were only available in some cities in the states of Mato Grosso, Pará, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Maranhão and São Paulo. On June 2, 2010 it started selling packages with HD transmission, initially to the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Nine channels debuted and were added to the 4 main packages.
In 2012, Claro upgraded its service in Puerto Rico by deploying VRADs in order to launch its IPTV service, which works parallel with their then satellite service. [2]

Brazil has both modern technologies in the center-south portion, counting with LTE, 3G HSPA, DSL ISDB based Digital TV. Other areas of the country, particularly the North and Northeast regions, lack even basic analog PSTN telephone lines. NET was a Brazilian telecommunications company that offered services such as cable television, broadband internet and telephony. The company's NET TV service had around 5.4 million subscribers as of Q2 2012. NET also operated the broadband Internet service NET Vírtua, with over 9 million subscribers as of Q2 2019 and telephone over cable with more than 2.5 million subscribers. It is owned by Mexican telecom giant América Móvil. On 11 July 2019, the NET brand was absorbed into the Claro brand, already used by América Móvil for its mobile business in Latin America. In early 2020, the NET brand was relaunched into the Claro NET brand, and was later discontinued in 2022.
Embratel is a major Brazilian telecommunications company headquartered in Rio de Janeiro. The company was the long distance arm of Telebras until it was bought by the U.S. company MCI Communications for 2.65 billion reais during the 1998 break-up of Telebras. However, MCI Communications went bankrupt in 2003. Since 2003, it is owned by América Móvil, the Mexican telecommunications giant.

Star One C2 is a Brazilian communications satellite. It was launched on 18 April 2008 22:17 UTC by an Ariane 5ECA carrier rocket, as part of a dual-payload launch with Vinasat-1. It was built by Thales Alenia Space, based on the Spacebus-3000B3 satellite bus. It is operated by Star One, a subsidiary of Embratel, and Bolivarsat.
G-Sat is a subscription-based direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television service commercially available in the Philippines. G-Sat is owned by Global Satellite Technology Services (GSTS), registered in the Philippines with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). On September 16, 2011, the beta version was launched. GVT TV was created with the intention to fight for satellite TV leadership with big Brazilian operators such as Sky Brazil and Via Embratel, which use the same satellite television technology.
TV Globo Internacional is an international pay television channel broadcasting from Brazil. It was launched on 24 August 1999 and it is owned by Grupo Globo.
BandNews FM is a Brazilian all-news radio network owned by Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação. First broadcast on May 20, 2005, it is the first Brazilian radio network that provides non-stop news programming 24 hours a day, considering that CBN does intersperse news with talk shows.
Premiere is a Brazilian television channel on pay-per-view broadcasts the main football State Championships in Brazil, and the Brazilian Championship Série A and Série B. Being part of Canais Globo, it is present in SKY, Claro TV and Vivo TV, and some operators outside the country, such as MEO and NOS. From 1997 to 2006 it was called Premiere Esportes, switching to Premiere Futebol Clube and then to PFC, but in 2011 moved again, this time to Premiere FC, and finally to Premiere starting in 2013.
TV Globo Minas is a Brazilian television station based in Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, carrying the signal of TV Globo for most of the state of Minas Gerais. Owned-and-operated by Grupo Globo, its studios and offices are located in the Caiçara neighborhood, and its tower is located in Serra do Curral, in the Belvedere neighborhood.
