Chea Waters Evans is an American politician from Vermont. She has been a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives for the Chittenden-5 District since 2023. [1]
USS Vermont (BB-20),a Connecticut-class battleship,was the second ship of the United States Navy named after the 14th state. She was the third member of the class,which included five other ships. The Connecticut-class ships were armed with a main battery of four 12-inch (305 mm) guns and had a top speed of 19 knots. Vermont was laid down in May 1904 at the Fore River shipyard and launched in August 1905. The ship entered service with the Atlantic Fleet in March 1907.

Nuon Chea,also known as Long Bunruot or Rungloet Laodi,was a Cambodian communist politician and revolutionary who was the chief ideologist of the Khmer Rouge. He also briefly served as acting Prime Minister of Democratic Kampuchea. He was commonly known as "Brother Number Two",as he was second-in-command to Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot,General Secretary of the Party,during the Cambodian genocide of 1975–1979. In 2014,Nuon Chea received a life sentence for crimes against humanity,alongside another top-tier Khmer Rouge leader,Khieu Samphan,and a further trial convicted him of genocide in 2018. These life sentences were merged into a single life sentence by the Trial Chamber on 16 November 2018. He died while serving his sentence in 2019.

The O.J. Walker was a cargo schooner that plied the waters of Lake Champlain between New York and Vermont. Built in 1862 in Burlington,Vermont,she hauled freight until sinking off the Burlington coast in a storm in 1895,while carrying a load of brick and tile. The shipwreck,located west of the Burlington Breakwater,is a Vermont State Historic Site,and is accessible to registered divers. It is one of the best-preserved examples of the 1862 class of sailing canal schooners,and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
