Centre Avenue is one of two railroad stations of the Long Island Rail Road in East Rockaway, New York. The station is officially located at Forest Avenue between Rocklyn and Centre Avenues, one block east of Atlantic Avenue.
The station was opened in 1898 by the New York and Long Beach Railroad and originally was known as South Lynbrook station until 1924.[ citation needed ]
Centre Avenue station was originally located a block to the west and had a station house, but was moved east when high-level platforms were installed in the late 1960s in order to facilitate the new M1 railcars. Parts of the original platform are still visible along the trackside towards Lynbrook. [5]
This station has two high-level wheelchair-accessible side platforms, each 10 cars long, with shelters and ticket vending machines.[ citation needed ]
Parking is available for vehicles with East Rockaway village residential permits and is located one block west, near the site of the former station. Limited non-resident parking is also available. [2]

The Long Beach Branch is an electrified rail line and service owned and operated by the Long Island Rail Road in the U.S. state of New York. The branch begins at Valley Interlocking, just east of Valley Stream station, where it merges with the Far Rockaway Branch to continue west as the Atlantic Branch. East from there the Long Beach Branch parallels the Montauk Branch to Lynbrook station, where it turns south toward Long Beach station. Trains operating on the Long Beach Branch continue west of Valley Stream via the Atlantic Branch to Jamaica station, with most continuing on to Grand Central or Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan. In 2018, the branch recorded an annual ridership of 4,849,085 based on ticket sales, down 1% from 2017.
Island Park is a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Long Beach Branch serving the residents of Island Park, Barnum Island, and Harbor Isle. The station can platform a 12-car train and is fully wheelchair accessible with ramps from street level. Parking facilities are also available. Southwest of the station the train crosses over Reynolds Channel via the Wreck Lead Bridge.

Access to the station is available from a narrow curving roadway leading off Route 112. This roadway used to connected with the Ohio Avenue intersection until Ohio Avenue was closed north of Peconic Avenue in 2007. It is also accessible from the north end of Oregon Avenue, although the Medford Fire Department periodically closes the Oregon Avenue access road for drills or other exercises.

The station house is on the south platform. Parking is available on both sides of the tracks.
The Stewart Manor station is one of five stations of the Long Island Rail Road that serve the village of Garden City, New York. It is located just south of Stewart Avenue, to the west of New Hyde Park Road. Contrary to its name, the station is not within the limits of the village of Stewart Manor – the west end of the station is one block east of the village's boundary with Garden City.
