Toni Gardemeister is a Finnish professional rally driver in the World Rally Championship. After previously competing for SEAT's, Mitsubishi's, Škoda's and Ford's factory teams, as well as for privateer teams, he joined the Suzuki World Rally Team for the 2008 season.

Carlo Bergonzi was an Italian luthier and is the first and most prominent member of the Bergonzi family, a distinguished group of luthiers from Cremona, Italy, a city with a rich tradition of stringed instrument makers. Today his instruments are highly valued for their workmanship and tone. Although he was historically assumed to have first apprenticed with Hieronymus Amati or Antonio Stradivari, he is now known to have been the student of Vincenzo Rugeri.

Il falegname di Livonia, o Pietro il grande, czar delle Russie is an 1819 opera buffa in two acts with music by Gaetano Donizetti set to a libretto by Gherardo Bevilacqua-Aldobrandini. The libretto was based in part on Felice Romani's libretto for Giovanni Pacini's opera Il falegname di Livonia, which had just been presented at La Scala in Milan on 12 April 1819. Another source was Alexandre Duval's comedy Le menuisier de Livonie, ou Les illustres voyageurs (1805).

Carlo Tagnin was an Italian footballer and manager, who played as a midfielder, most notably for the famous Inter side of the 1960s, which achieved much success, both domestically and internationally. As a defensive midfielder, he was known in particular for his stamina, work-rate, and man-marking ability, which allowed him to support his more offensive teammates defensively.

Ale is the eighth studio album by Italian singer Alexia released in 2008. The album is the first release on the Edel label after Alexia left Sony Music in 2007 and was the first studio album Alexia had released since 2004's Gli occhi grandi della luna. Giarabub is a 1942 Italian war film directed by Goffredo Alessandrini and starring Carlo Ninchi, Mario Ferrari and Doris Duranti. The film was a propaganda work which portrayed the Siege of Giarabub (1940–41) during the Second World War, in which Italian troops defended Jaghbub, Libya, for nine months against British forces.

"Grande amore" is a song performed by Italian operatic pop trio Il Volo –Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble–, with music composed and Italian lyrics written by Francesco Boccia and Ciro "Tommy" Esposito. The song won the Sanremo Music Festival 2015 and represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 where it placed third –winning the televoting and coming sixth with the juries–. Il Volo also released the song in Spanish and English versions.
