Ani ng Dangal or "Harvest of Honors" is an organizational award given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, an agency under the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. [1] It is an annual event in the Philippines celebrated as a highlight and concluding rite of the Philippine Arts Festival. [2] [3]

Philippine Arts Festival

February of every year is National Arts Month in the Philippines. [4] Then President Corazon C. Aquino made this declaration in 1991 via Presidential Decree No. 683. [5] For two decades the NCCA has been supporting various local projects and special events during National Arts Month to showcase the best of the Philippine artistic and cultural scene.

In 2009, the NCCA elevated what has been a national undertaking into a consolidated international event that is the Philippine Arts Festival (PAF). PAF is the NCCA's contribution to the celebration of National Arts Month. Its tagline is “Ani ng Sining”, and the festival has proven through the years that is indeed a harvest for the arts.

The Ani ng Dangal is given to a natural-born Filipino artist or group that has reaped top honors in international events. Its coverage includes the seven art disciplines:

2023 and 2024 awards

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts bestowed 33 trophies at the 15th Ani ng Dangal Awards in 2023 at Malacañang Palace. [7] Bongbong Marcos honored 26 awardees in the 16th Ani ng Dangal 2024 at the Manila Metropolitan Theater concluding rite of National Arts Month. [8]

Allen Dizon, is a Filipino actor, model and producer, and former member of the Viva Hot Men. Dizon originally acted in daring roles, and later became an independent film actor and producer.

Christian Mercurio Bables, is a Filipino actor and model. He is one of entertainment industry’s youngest competent actors who has made his mark by portraying remarkable roles in his movie outings. He won as ‘Best Leading Actor’ at the fifth Hanoi International Film Festival’ for his character as “Intoy” in the drama film ‘Signal Rock.’ He also won the ‘Best Supporting Actor Award’ at the Gawad Urian Awards, 42nd MMFF and FAP Luna Awards for his transwoman character “Barbs” in the comedy film ‘Die Beautiful.’ He recently won Best Actor award from 47th MMFF, 5th Eddy’s Choice Awards, and 19th Asian Film Festival for the movie ‘Big Night!'

Susan Calo-Medina was a Filipino television host, actress and writer.

Joaquin Andre Ditan Domagoso is a Filipino actor, host, and model who is currently an artist under GMA Network. He is the son of actor-politician and former mayor of Manila, Isko Moreno.
