Agata Jadwiga Karczmarek was a Polish gymnast and long jumper.
Elżbieta Maria Krzesińska was a track and field athlete from Poland, who competed in the long jump. Born in Warsaw, she competed for her native country at the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia where she won the gold medal in the Women's Long Jump. She returned to the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome but failed to defend her title, finishing second behind Soviet Vera Krepkina.
Zygmunt Jałoszyński is a Polish athlete, who competed in the javelin throw. He represented Poland at the European Championships 1971 where he got to final round. In 1970 he took a bronze medal in 1970 Summer Universiade in Torino. He was representative sports club Legia Warsaw. He was one of the top Polish sportsman in the 1970s decade. Personal best: 85.00 m.
Abram (Abraham) Szpiro was a Polish chess master.
Paweł Fajdek is a Polish hammer thrower, a five-time World Champion, European Champion, Olympic bronze medal winner, multiple Polish Champion and Polish men's hammer throw record holder. In 2013, he became the youngest world champion in the event. His personal best throw of 83.93 metres was achieved on 9 August 2015 at the Janusz Kusociński Memorial in Szczecin.

On October 13, 2021, the Governor of Wielkopolska, Michał Zieliński, appointed Justyna Franieczek to the Sports Council of the Wielkopolska Province Governor.
