The 2012 6 Hours of Shanghai was an endurance auto race held at the Shanghai International Circuit in Shanghai, China on 28 October 2012. The race was the eighth and season finale of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship season, and was the inaugural running of the 6 Hours of Shanghai.
The race was won by Alexander Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre driving the No.7 Toyota TS030 Hybrid of Toyota Racing. André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler of Audi Sport Team Joest won the Drivers' World Championship at the event after finishing in third place. Larbre Compétition won the LMGTE Am Trophy following a class win. [1]

The 80th 24 Hours of Le Mans was an 24-hour automobile endurance race for teams of three drivers each entering Le Mans Prototype and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance cars held from 16 to 17 June 2012 at the Circuit de la Sarthe close to Le Mans, France before 240,000 spectators. It was the 80th running of the event, as organised by the automotive group, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) since 1923. The race was the third round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship, with 30 of the race's 56 entries contesting the championship. A test day was held two weeks prior to the race on 3 June.
The Toyota TS030 Hybrid is a Le Mans Prototype 1 (LMP1) sports car built by Toyota Motorsport GmbH and used by the manufacturer in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012 and 2013. It was Toyota's first all new prototype since the GT-One last competed in 1999, and was the first petrol-hybrid engine car to participate in the World Endurance Championship. Work on designing the car began in late 2010 when early chassis designs were presented to Toyota Motorsport. The project was stopped briefly after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, but the car's building was approved six months later. The TS030 Hybrid featured a Kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) regenerative braking device to charge a super capacitor. Its engine, a naturally aspirated petrol 3.4-litre (210 cu in) V8 power unit, was mounted at a 90-degree angle, produced 530 horsepower, and was based on Toyota's Super GT project.
The 2012 WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on May 5, 2012. It was the second round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Following the cancellation of the Zolder round of 2012 European Le Mans Series season, some ELMS teams were invited to enter the race. Two major entries on the original entry list withdrew from the event before the race week: the No.7 Toyota TS030 Hybrid due to a testing accident, and the new Pescarolo 03 of Pescarolo Team, due to a delay in production.

The 2013 WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was an endurance race held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium on 3—4 May 2013, and the annual running of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. It was the second round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Defending World Champions André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler led a clean sweep of the overall race podium for Audi, while Pecom Racing were victorious in the LMP2 category. The No. 51 car of AF Corse won the LMGTE Pro class, and 8 Star Motorsports won in LMGTE Am.
The 2013 6 Hours of São Paulo was an endurance auto race held at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, São Paulo, Brazil on 30 August – 1 September 2013. The race was the fourth round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship and the second consecutive running of the 6 Hours of São Paulo. Audi continued their streak of four overall victories following an accident for the sole Toyota in LMP1, with André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler, and Benoît Tréluyer leading the Joest Racing duo to the checkered flag. G-Drive Racing earned their first victory in the LMP2 category ahead of OAK Racing, while AF Corse Ferrari led home Aston Martin Racing in the LMGTE Pro class by a gap of less than two seconds. Aston Martin however prevailed in LMGTE Am, ahead of the 8 Star Ferrari.
The 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship season was the third season of the FIA World Endurance Championship auto racing series, co-organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The series was open to Le Mans Prototypes and grand tourer-style racing cars from four ACO categories. World Championship titles were awarded for Le Mans Prototypes drivers and for LMP1 manufacturers, and several World Endurance Cups and Endurance Trophies were also awarded. The eight race series began in April at the Silverstone Circuit and concluded in November at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace.

A total of 50,334 spectators attended the event.

Spa-Francorchamps hosted the second race of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship with 54,000 people attending the race weekend.

The 2017 WEC 6 Hours of Mexico was an endurance sports car racing event held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Mexico on 1–3 September 2017. The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez round served as the fifth race of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship. The race was won by the No. 2 Porsche entered by Porsche Motorsport. The LMP1 grid for the race was reduced, due to the absence of the ByKolles Racing Team
The 2019 4 Hours of Shanghai was an endurance sportscar racing event held on 10 November 2019, as the third round of the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship. This was the inaugural running of the race, in a four-hour format, having previously been run as the 6 Hours of Shanghai. The race was won overall by Bruno Senna, Gustavo Menezes, and Norman Nato, in the #1 Rebellion Racing Rebellion R13, with the race being the first win on the road for a non hybrid LMP1 since the first ever WEC race, the 2012 12 Hours of Sebring.
