Ümit Aydın Davala is a Turkish football coach and former player. During his stint at Galatasaray, he won four Süper Lig, three Turkish Cup, one UEFA Cup and one UEFA Super Cup title between 1996 and 2001. He won the 2003–04 Bundesliga with Werder Bremen. Davala represented Turkey with 41 caps in international competitions, scoring 4 goals. He was part of the Turkey squad which earned a bronze medal at 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Alessandro Rosa Vieira, known as Falcão, is a Brazilian retired professional futsal player, often regarded as the greatest futsal player of all time. He is known for his flashy and potent dribbling skills and a powerful and accurate left foot. He is also the world's all-time leading goalscorer in men's international matches. He was named as the Best Futsal Player in the World four times and won the FIFA Futsal World Cup Golden Shoe in 2004 and the Golden Ball twice, in 2004 and 2008. Today he is a YouTuber teaching futsal tricks and showing different things about futsal culture. His YouTube channel already has more than 1 million of subscribers
Vahid Shamsaei is an Iranian professional futsal coach and former player. He was a Pivot and he scored 392 goals in international matches. He is currently head coach of Iran national futsal team. Shamsaei has been named AFC Futsal Player of the Year on three occasions. He has also won eight AFC Futsal Championships with Iran. Shamsaei is regarded as the Ali Daei of futsal by the Asian Football Confederation.

The Spain national futsal team represents Spain in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It is one of the strongest teams in the World, seven times champions in the UEFA Futsal Championship, and the two times consecutive champions of the FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The Italy national futsal team represents Italy in international futsal competitions such as the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the European Championships and is controlled by the Italian Football Federation. It is one of the strongest teams in Europe, champions in the 2003 UEFA Futsal Championship and UEFA Futsal Euro 2014. Italy has also come in second place at the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cup, as well as third place in the 2008 and 2012 editions.

The U.S. Futsal Federation was founded in 1981 and the first international futsal match played by the U.S. National Futsal Team was in May 1984 in Nanaimo, Canada where the United States won, 6–5. The first international futsal match in the United States was held in December, 1985, at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California. The U.S. select team, defeated Australia, 9–5.
The Malaysia national futsal team represents Malaysia in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Football Association of Malaysia. Malaysia once played in the FIFA Futsal World Cup in 1996.

The Philippines women's national futsal team represents the Philippines in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Philippine Futsal Committee of the Philippine Football Federation.
The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup was an international futsal tournament to held in Lithuania from September 12 to October 3, 2021. The 24 national teams involved in the tournament were required by FIFA to register a squad of 16 players, including three goalkeepers. Despite this, each team can only use 14 players per match.
