Meet the AEGIS London International Errors & Omissions Underwriting Team. The team underwrites primary E&O risks within the UK, EEA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim. Earlier this year, the team welcomed new joiner Mike Newson in his first underwriting role after more than 40 years of broking E&O risk for multi-professions. In honour of Canadian #Thanksgiving, today we are giving thanks to all of our partners in the Canadian market. One in three of our Canadian coverholders have a long-standing relationship with AEGIS London of more than 10 years, so Canada is a market close to our hearts and the second largest territory in which we operate. The attached pictures are from our own conference in Vancouver last year, along with some shots from the RIMS Canada Conference and Lloyd's Bootcamp last week. To all of our Canadian, colleagues, partners and friends – we are grateful to work with you and we hope you had a great day!

To mark World Mental Health Day 2024, AEGIS London mental health first aiders Christopher Nahra, Gemma Bingham, David Bagheri and Giedrius DOCKUS hosted a coffee morning and bake sale in the office. The aim was to raise awareness of mental health first aid in our workplace as well as the support available to colleagues, including the Stronger Minds services from our private medical insurer, the wellbeing fund and our subscriptions to Wellness Cloud, WorkLife Central and Headspace. We were also raising money for mentoring charity ReachOut, which provides targeted youth development programmes in under-resourced communities to help young people develop their social and emotional skills. So far we’ve raised over £300 and counting. We are pleased to announce that the Lloyd's market’s only product writing cover for the #rescue of #miners trapped underground has more than doubled its available cover from $10m to $25m with the launch of AEGIS Miner Rescue Consortium. Daniel Rouse, International Casualty Class Underwriter, from AEGIS London said: “The best way to understand how this product works is to put yourself in the shoes of a CFO or risk manager of a mining company during an accident.
