As we conclude the year, we're reflecting on everything we've accomplished across 2024.   While we have many highlights, here’s a few memorable moments. We: ➡️ Joined forces with RSA to launch BUILD, a new market-leading Project Cargo consortium ➡️ Reinforced our expertise by attending and speaking at over 250 conferences and events across the world ➡️ Welcomed five apprentices and four graduates to our Claims, Finance, IT and Underwriting teams  ➡️ Became the first contributing partner of the Lloyd's Inclusive Futures Coalition ➡️ Cycled 240 miles and climbed 16,000 feet across the Swiss Jura Mountains to raise money for Action Medical Research ➡️ Were among the top 10 companies shortlisted for the Diverse Company Award at The National Diversity Awards 2024 🏆 Won the inaugural Equity Sports Day organised by Equity City 🏆 Won the Rugby Bowl Competition at the Lloyd's 7s tournament   A special thanks to our colleagues, clients, and partners for their tireless work across the year. At Brit, we've been getting into the holiday spirit with a merry competition. Yesterday, we invited our colleagues to wear their most festive attire for our office Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children UK. Last week, we were delighted to host 50 people in the first London Insurance Market padel event at Rocket Padel, Ilford. It was an exciting afternoon for all. While those new to the game enjoyed expert tuition from professional coaches, seasoned padel pros got to play with new opponents. We had a great time connecting with others from the market. Last month, Andy Bowers, Managing Director - Programs & Facilities, along with members of our SNAL Underwriting team - David Shedden, Emma Babbington, and Benjamin Osei-Poku caught up with multiple coverholders representing much of our total portfolio premium while in Chicago for the PLUS Conference. Matthew Jenkins, Class Underwriter - US Professional Liability, was also in Chicago for the conference and spent valuable time connecting with clients and brokers. The team enjoyed sharing insights on a range of topics, from pre-renewal discussions to potential areas for further growth, connecting with brokers, and attending underwriting and new business meetings. Last week, members of our team spent a wonderful day at HandsOn London's Morden Sorting Hub, helping the charity sort through the donated coats ready to distribute to those who need them. Following the success of our volunteering days this summer, it was brilliant to see so many of our colleagues participating in this initiative. Today at Brit we recognise the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities, and to raise awareness of all disabilities and long-term health conditions, both visible and non-visible. To mark the day, we're reflecting on some recent highlights from our Beyond Abilities employee resource group.   🤝 We enrolled 12 colleagues on a level 1 British Sign Language (BSL) course which will teach them to maintain a basic conversation in BSL, learning the correct sentence structure, hand placements and facial expressions. 🎭 The group went to see The Little Big Things, a heartwarming West End musical inspired by the true story of Henry Fraser, a premiership rugby player who became tetraplegic after a diving accident. ➡️ We completed our SMART assessment with the Business Disability Forum and will be working hard throughout 2025 to continue to create and maintain an inclusive environment for all colleagues to thrive.     Looking ahead to 2025, we are delighted that Martin Thompson, CEO, will be the executive sponsor of the Beyond Abilities ERG.
