Ryan Tennant is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He holds both a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's degree in Systems Design Engineering from the same institution. Ryan has worked in research hospitals in Canada, as well as in the medical device industry in Canada and internationally. His primary research interests focus on the intersection of human factors, healthcare, and engineering, where his PhD explores the design and integration of uncertainty-aware AI interfaces to improve clinical decision-making, particularly in pediatric sepsis prediction.
