1. Download & install GWMMO

This article is for Google Workspace users. If you're an administrator setting up GWMMO for your users, go to GWMMO admin help.

You can use Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook (GWMMO) to import data from a Microsoft Exchange account or PST file. You can import your email, calendar, or contact data, all at once or one application at a time.

Before you begin

  1. Review these system requirements.

    Before starting the installation, install any updates and patches to your version of Outlook or Windows.

  2. If you haven't already, sign in to your Google Workspace account to accept Google's Terms and Conditions.

Use either method below to install GWMMO on the computer where you use Outlook.

I'm downloading & installing GWMMO myself

Before you begin: Make sure Outlook is not running.

  1. Download the Recommended for users EXE file from the GWMMO download page.
  2. Open the installer and follow the instructions to install GWMMO.

If your administrator prepared an installation file for you, you just need to install it.

  1. Install GWMMO based on your version of Windows:

    • Earlier versions of Windows—In Control Panel, click Run Advertised Programsand thenGoogle Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlookand thenRun.
  2. Click Startand thenGoogle Workspace Migrationand thenGoogle Workspace Migration for Microsoft Outlook.
