Suraj Narredu
[change source]Hoots (talk) has nominated this page for deletion for the reason:
- Not notable. A Google Search only returns facebook profiles, forums etc.
Please discuss this deletion below, but keep in mind that you shouldn't vote on everything and that there may be options that are not just "keep" or "delete", such as merging.
Discussion
[change source]- Comment - not entirely true. See this link for the news results. Note that this not a support, simply an observation. PrincessofLlyr talk 18:58, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DiffsLinks noted. Still not entirely sure its WP worthy... In my opinion :) Hoots (talk) 19:04, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]- Same here. Which is why those are both comments, not support. :) I'm still thinking about it. PrincessofLlyr talk 19:15, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep - several news articles seem to indicate notability, including one from the Times of India, the English newspaper with the largest circulation in the world. Kansan (talk) 03:32, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, I see potential for expansion.-- Tdxiang 08:23, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Suraj is among India's finest jockeys and he's involved in Horse racing - a sport which is immensely popular all over the world. Unfortunately, in India, the sport doesnt get coverage. But that doesnt reduce Suraj's notability. Its a bizarre issue to have an issue about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mehakchow (talk • contribs)

- Note - author blanked article. As someone else who has worked on getting reliable sources for it, can I revert that? PrincessofLlyr talk 15:55, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes. The author does not have the right to delete all entries. When you edit an article your work is released under the GFDL license and is no longer yours. Go ahead and revert. (edit, DJSasso already has) Hoots (talk) 17:41, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep We already got some refs going, don't stop now! :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 04:50, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - I believe there is definite notability, especially given the Times of India article (almost) entirely about him. PrincessofLlyr talk 17:48, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep references have been added and the nominator has been blocked for a period of time. Purplebackpack89 18:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The fact that the nominator has been blocked has no bearing on the discussion at hand. He may or may not have been disruptive about some other matter, but there is no reason not to believe that this discussion was made in good faith. Please do not make such comments as your rationale. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 05:49, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- It's common for such comments to be made as reference Purplebackpack89 17:26, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- See en:WP:NOSPADE and en:WP:ADHOM, which you seem to be against by the inclusion of that remark in your rationale. But since you seem to refuse to get my point, I'll probably just drop it, and let you do whatever you want. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 17:51, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
