The Metropolitan Borough of Trafford is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester, England. It is home to 211,800 people,[2] covers 41 square miles,[3] and includes the towns of Altrincham, Partington, Sale, Stretford, and Urmston. Until 1974 the area was part of Cheshire.
